We stayed in the "small" villa of the sky at the grotto it was hopelessly romantic. Vincenzo could not have been more helpful the view was astonishing. We picked tomatoes and herbs from the tiny Garden each day,and drank the local wine, provided by our host. His recommendations on everything from the local bakery to the two star Michelin guide restaurant...

Our family trip to the Amalfi Coast started as a mere conversation at Christmas time and ended with an extraordinary week in Piano Di Sorrento this May. It didn't take me long to find the family owned La Grotta dei Fichi on Trip Advisor when I started to research accomodations. It sounded almost too good to be true. Believe me,...

All the beautiful pictures still can't capture the essence of this spectacular Villa. One must actually spend time there to fully appreciate the beauty you are surrounded by. It is even fair to say that the Villa has a spirituality. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like family. Vincenzo and the staff made our week as...

It has taken me an entire year to write this review because each time I have tried, I have been unable to find the words to describe the beauty of this villa which is also known to me as La Rupe Pensatore. My husband and I are Canadians who rented the villa with two friends, one who is from England...

The only word to describe this beautiful villa. The breathtaking views are only a part of staying at La Grotta dei Fichi. The family that owns the villa treat you like you are part of the family. This to me is what being in Italy is all about. Vincenzo the host is so accommodating you will leave there feeling pampered....

Spending a week at this amazing villa is really impossible to describe to family and friends at home. La Grotta dei Fichi is just as memorable a site as anything else we saw on this first trip to Italy. It will be as lasting a memory as touring The Vatican, marveling at The Pantheon or driving along the Amalfi Coast...

La Grotta dei Fichi is an amazing place to spend a week along the Amalfi Coast. It is the most unique and spectacular place that I have ever stayed, perched high above the sea with amazing views of the Sirenuse Islands and the coast. The structure is difficult to describe as every room and space built into the cliff side...

La Grotta dei Fichi is a unique structure built into a cliff. The sea views from patios and terraces are beyond compare. Vincenzo, owner and concierge, is available to answer questions and make reservations at a moment's notice. The villa's location is perfect, halfway between Sorrento and Positano. Wonderful restaurants are close as well as picturesque small towns.

Our trip to La Grotta dei Fichi was beyond our imagination. As you walk through the from door, the villa awakens your senses. It is a magical place, built into the side of a mountain, with panoramic views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Li Galli islands. At every corner, there are new discoveries of natural beauty. It is 300...
