Our family trip to the Amalfi Coast started as a mere conversation at Christmas time and ended with an extraordinary week in Piano Di Sorrento this May. It didn't take me long to find the family owned La Grotta dei Fichi on Trip Advisor when...More
All the beautiful pictures still can't capture the essence of this spectacular Villa. One must actually spend time there to fully appreciate the beauty you are surrounded by. It is even fair to say that the Villa has a spirituality. From the moment we arrived,...More
It has taken me an entire year to write this review because each time I have tried, I have been unable to find the words to describe the beauty of this villa which is also known to me as La Rupe Pensatore. My husband and...More
The only word to describe this beautiful villa. The breathtaking views are only a part of staying at La Grotta dei Fichi. The family that owns the villa treat you like you are part of the family. This to me is what being in Italy...More

My husband and I stayed at Grotta dei Fichi with 10 friends recently. What a setting! We love to travel and can say that this experience was our best trip yet. Yes, there are 70 steps, but they are set amidst lovely, peaceful views and rest landings. It would be a sadness to think that someone may miss out on staying Grotta dei Fichi for any reason, especially since the steps are necessary to provide access to the wondrous & incredible site it was all constructed within.
Vincenzo, our gracious host at Grotta dei Fichi created an unforgettable connection to the Amalfi region for us and we came away from two weeks in this slice of heaven feeling as though we left our hearts there. We miss Grotta dei Fichi every day!
