This hotel is a recent conversion of an old house towards the edge of the historic centre of Macerata, i.e. the part within the city walls. It is reached by walking down a fairly narrow street and also has parking in a garage accessed by a slightly wider street. On entering one faces the reception area and to the left...

The Claudiani, hidden down a side street in the historical center of Macerata is an excellent base for exploring the sights of the ancient town. The personnel are friendly and welcoming, not to mention helpful. The rooms are comfortable, and the amenities of a good standard, If you are traveling in the less well known area of the Marche this...

A business trip to visit Poltrona Frau in Tolentino. Macerata is an attractiv small town. The hotel is near the central square, 5 min to walk. Traditional interior design. Friendly service. Room is clean. Free Wifi. The breakfast is average.

This is not a 4 stars hotel. I think it was last refurbished in the 80's. In the room there were almost no plagues to recharge pc/phone. It is simply average. The good thing is that is right in the city centre and close to the university.

This was a lucky find as we'd just been to look at the 3-star Albergo Arena and found it a bit depressing. The Claudiani is (I think) the only 4-star in Macerata and we'd recommend it to anybody who's not bothered by fittings that have evidently seen better days. It was off-season (June is after the university's finished and before...
