We spent our fantastic honeymoon at Pieve di Caminino and we dream of the next opportunity to come again. The hosts are wonderfully helpful and pleasant, the ancient buildings and natural setting are a dream and the views from our terrace are stunning. This is a very quiet romantic location also best suited for profound resting and meditation. This is...

This is a most romantic and atmospheric destination. And we were lucky to have booked an apartment with a view! As the pictures speek for themselves how cute everything looks I just want to comment on one thing: there was not a single sofa or chair in our apartment on which you could actually sit comfortably. Some were just junk....

I have just returned from Pieve di Caminino after spending my 40th birthday there. It was everything one could dream of for an idyllic Tuscan retreat. Nestled within historic hill top towns, Montemassi, Roccastrada and Roccatederighi, Caminino is perfect to just relax and enjoy the ambiance. It is also ideal to explore the numerous places around Southern Tuscany, from Volterra...

A huge thank you to Emy for being a wonderful host. My partner and I stayed in La Foresteria for ten days and it proved to be a wonderful base in which to explore Tuscany. The room was huge and beautifully decorated and while there I asked Emy if we could look at the other suites as well - they...

We were warmly welcomed by Emy (the owner and host) on our arrival of this beautiful estate. The welcome was in the main building which is the old chapel (pieve) but now used as library and welcome hall filled with antique furniture and lots of great paintings. Our antique style apartment (separate building) was very cozy, with a kitchenette, small...

Dear D. and S., Thank you for your nice words about myself, but I cannot understand your complains; you never reported while here and you always told us - when we ask for that -everything was going on well. Moreover as returning guests, you knew already our resort, this was the 3rd time for you in Caminino. I.e.example wifi available...

Pieve di Caminino is everything that we hoped for in a Tuscan short break. The property is magnificent, the service is excellent, the room we stayed in was out of this world, the location is perfect, and the history of the property and the family is romantic and fairy tale-like. From the first moment that we made our booking, Emiliano,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Caminino is an antique farm estate of 200 hectares (500 acres), completely fenced, access to which is reserved exclusively for guests with reservations. A centenary olive grove, a panoramic vineyard where walking or jogging at the sight of the Montemassi castle, and a legendary cork oak forest surround the old exclusive private village, now offering agriturismo hospitality, with swimming pool (in warm season) and two ponds. Silence dominates, pleasantly interrupted by the sounds of nature. The view stretches, on clear days, to the sea, where the horizon is marked by the island of Giglio. The ancient villages of Roccatederighi, Montemassi, Sticciano and Montepescali are nearby located, crowning the landscape with their fortfied walls: they area reachable driving afew minutes and all offer a delicious choice of typical restaurants and wine bars. Not to miss & easily reachable: Massa Marittima, Siena, Montalcino, Pitigliano, Castiglione della Pescaia, Populonia, Bolgheri, the Maremma National Park, The Tarot Garden, Mount Amiata, the Terme di Saturnia, Roselle, S. Galgano, S. Antimo ... The total lack of traffic makes Caminino easy to be reached, both from Rome Leonardo da Vinci (200km / 124mi) and from Pisa Galileo Galilei (140km / 87mi), or from Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport (128km /80mi). ... more   less
