We loved this place so much. 3 star but location us perfect. Stayed in a villa. Roomy and clean. Right on beach or walk out the frint entrance and there are hundreds of little restaurants to eat at. Clean pools and grwat gardens. We will come back. You feel right at home here.

This is a lovely little hotel, set within a beautiful old building on a charming praça, just opposite the tiny village of Peneda and beneath a glorious mountain. The rooms are very convenient. They are modern, new or perhaps just been refurbished, spotlessly clean, with wooden floors and a basic but quite sufficient furniture to go with, giving it all...

The entire staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. The place is clean and functional and the rooms are quite large for a 2-star hotel, modern and comfortable. Clients also have access to a very well appointed common living room with a real food-burning firebox and a very large TV. The dinner menu is limited in scope but the food is...

Hotel personnel was very friendly and the hotel is very nicely preserved and well taken care of. The rooms were extra clean and the bed was comfortable; the hotel was very quiet. The pillows could be a little big bigger and the room heating was working but then it randomly stopped for some time and then restarted again. The breakfast...

We arrived early. Found staff gathered in reception. Weer expecting large group. Were nice without being overbearing. The hotel is a very nice place, and very simple, but once night fell the portuguese speaking staff left. Everybody who stayed was spanish (no problem with that), and only spoke spanish (definitely a no-no). A hotel in Portugal HAS to have portuguese-speaking...

The highlight of Peneda (town) is the church metres away from the Hotel. However, there is some very nice walking in the district too. Be aware that the maps sold by the Park office seem to more often than not have the wrong scale: be careful judging how far you might walk. The amps are also frustrating in that they...

This hotel is located in a mystic place. The nature and the sanctuary are really beautiful. The room it self is simple. From here you can get to know the Peneda Gerês park, this is a good base location to start. The sanctuary should have some renovation efforts. The restaurant is ok, and in the summer is good to have...

We used this hotel as a base for four days of hiking in the Peneda Geres National Park. It is a lovely hotel, with pleasant rooms overlooking a plaza and a decent restaurant. While hikes in the park aren't always well marked, one of the hotel staffers was quite knowledgeable and always ready to help. One good loop hike starts...

I love the location of this hotel. It is right next to the Peneda Sanctuary & has a gushing waterfall behind it. The staff is very friendly, especially Katrina, & the restaurant food is excellent. They apparently have a new chef & the presentation of the food, as well as the taste, is great. We ate at the hotel the...

We stayed at this Hotel 2 nights and it was wonderful! Surrounded by mountains and beautiful nature, it is very well located to visit Gerês National Park. The hotel is the ideal place to rest after long walks in the mountains. The restaurant is incredible with traditional portuguese food, but with a modern twist. Thanks to all the staff that...
