Detailed Reviews
My wife and I are in Wageningen three times a year, and we always stay at the Hotel de Wereld. We have been doing this for years. I think I can safely say that time in and time out that the customer service we receive from basically everyone at this small hotel is world class. The hotel itself is clean, has a warm, inviting feel, and the rooms are quite comfortable. The location is super convenient--right on the edge of the main part of the town, with all the shops and restaurants no more than a five minute walk away. A short walk up the road gets you to two beautiful arboretums. Plus, you can check out the major historical significance of the hotel while there. If you are going to Wageningen, stay here.

The Romantik room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well insulated.
A very nice restaurant experience.
Parking in a suitable spot behind the hotel is free for guests - I missed a clear signboard. This hotel is a beautifully maintained historic building with images from history and elegant downstairs rooms reminiscent of the 1940s.
The hotel managers have come up with a smart way to encourage hotel guests to use the stairs instead of the elevator!

Beautiful historic overnight stay. Nice atmosphere/ambience! Excellent food at Lev. Nice rooms with lots of details!
Friendly staff, welcoming.
Useful app for all questions!
However, some minor minuses, breakfast (we arrived at 9.15am and breakfast was until 11am) was not properly refilled. Orange juice was gone, eggs were cooked for 4 min, blueberries were gone. Must say as soon as it was asked, it was immediately made by the friendly staff. Personally we were less happy with the too small fixed shower head.

After issues with 2 rooms ,finally thanks to the excellent manager called Hans he gave us a suitable room .I must say Hans was very helpful and also took the trouble to catch us as we were leaving to say goodbye .
As for breakfasts very disappointing and over priced appears they do not want to cater for the English ,i asked twice two different chefs if they could do a poached egg the answer was no .As for the two sliced toaster it was a joke .Last morning had 2 4min boiled eggs left them totally under cooked plus a butter pack that had gone off .Price of Hotel expensive seeing as breakfast is not included in the price.Room service could be better if we had not changed room second day we wouldf not of had any clean towels in a 4 night stay .We had to suffer the breakfasts as there is not really anywhere local that caters for the English which i find surprising considering the help we gave them in the war .
Good point worth visit to the Sand and ice sculptures ,Plus very good Chinese called Kings Garden close to Wageningen bus station the food was lovely .Never ate in the hotel restaurant as we could not see a menu written in English .

This hotel is so centrally situated, it is ideal. We arrived early and so didn't expect our room to be ready, just wishing to leave our bags, but fortunately our room was available. The welcome we received was warm and friendly, not sure of the gentleman's name who was covering reception, he was very helpful. The room accessed via a lift was large and warm and clean, as was the bathroom. It didn't have a bath tub however this wasn't a problem as we are shower people! The television had BBC channels.
We ate in the Lev restaurant which was superb, we chose the 4 course Chef's menu which was outstanding as was the service we received.
Cannot comment on breakfast as didn't take it.
Another excellent stay, thank you.

Hospitality is of paramount importance, very fine people with a feeling for the wishes of the guest.
fine service, fast service, very flexible attitude to guests. Nothing can do. Beautiful terrace with live music. A party to stay there with our group. The dinner in the private room was of high quality with beautiful accompanying wines and were very pleasantly surprised by the surprise menu.

Hotel De Wereld is an excellent hotel with comfortable rooms, excellent service and good food. But what makes it unique is that it has embraced its historical significance (the Germans surrendered the Netherlands here in May 1945) with themed rooms dedicated to a freedom fighter. We stayed in the ML King Jr room with pictures of ML King, his family, and the March on Washington. You can even listen to his famous “I have a dream” speech while sitting on the toilet! This made our stay more than just a comfortable one, but a profound one as we reflected on the meaning of freedom then and now, here and there.

Good hotel, great location. Great breakfast buffet, had to orient due to lack of staff in the breakfast room. Air conditioning in the room was very pleasant because we could not easily open the windows in the room Zola with curtains closed. Not only overnight, but also drinks and dinners: burgers or various smaller dishes or several courses with a surprise menu. The only thing missing from the menu with the warm weather was a meal salad. Had nice burgers and fries. We couldn't finish it after drinks.

Special hotel because of its history. Atmospheric lounge and theme-oriented rooms where attention has been paid to. The food is tasty but slightly out of balance in terms of price-quality. The sommelier is well aware of suitable food-food combinations.
For people who eat little breakfast, a price of 19.50 euros is out of proportion.

Surprisingly delicious food and friendly welcome. The history of the hotel is also very special. Excellent beds, quiet and there is good air conditioning.
The TV even had Belgian channels! For breakfast you get eggs according to your specific wishes and super fresh orange juice, delicious
