Shaun and his wife have made this into an extremely welcoming and comfortable establishment. We were picked up from Vindolanda and shown to our spacious room (#8). The first place since starting our walk that had bath towels big enough that you can fully wrap...More
This farm is over a mile off the wall which does not matter because the guy that runs it will come and collect you and drop you back which is a great service. The food in the evening and also the breakfast is absolutely lovely....More
This was our halfway stopover for my husband and myself while walking Hadrian's Wall. It wasn't the most luxurious or the slickest place we stayed in during our 10 days, but it was easily our favourite. Perhaps it helped that it coincided with our favourite...More

Hi there, It has a large lounge/sitting area and plenty of room in the dining room with several tables. It doesn't have a bar as such, but has an alcohol licence and therefore you can buy drinks from them. Nice wine. If you are going for a party, you might want to check with them that they stock the drink you like. They are very accommodating people and she is a very good cook. It is a little quirky and I would describe the lounge as comfortable and lived in. Plenty of room for children to run around outside. We really enjoyed ourselves there but this is not a smart hotel but rather a place that you can relax in and feel at home. I found the bed comfortable. It is not open to the public.
