I've not stayed at this hotel, as I live locally. But if the rooms are in the same league as the bar and restaurant I'm very pleased not to have slept there. The restaurant food is poor at best, served by charming but barely competent youngsters. The bar is where I would reserve particular criticism. Unfriendly welcome, foul language among...

I agree with reviewer TaffB66, how this hotel got any good reviews surprises me also. The hotel needs a complete refurbishment as the plaster on the walls is falling off in places. When I pulled the curtains I got covered in dust, carpets look grubby. TV in room was the old portable type. There is no guest lounge either to...

How this hotel got so many good reviews is beyond me there must be two Falcons Nest hotels in Port Erin and I ended up at the wrong one because it is absolutely terrible. The decor, carpets and general standard of the rooms were very tired and we're probably passed their best in the 1970's. I switched on a light...

Four adults shared one of the top floor apartments during Classic TT week. Apartments had everything we needed, and were bright, clean and spacious. The two single beds were a great improvement on the bunk beds. Only bug bear was the lack of wifi in the apartments. There was a hotspot in the hallway on the ground floor where there...

Our visit started with a problem over our room booking. We had arranged a sea view room but got view of' a wall'. After around 30 mins we got a compromise room with at least a side of the sea. Rooms really are very mixed, some tired and some poor outlooks. After this delay we were told that we had...

We had booked a four-night stay in a Superior Double Room at the Falcon's Nest, with a clear understanding that we would be in a front sea view room which was described in the hotel documentation as an "elegant room". On arrival we were taken to a small room at the back of the hotel which looked out on to...

The accommodation was great with good size lounge/kitchen area and good size double bedroom. The second bedroom was also a good size with two twin beds and not the bunk beds that we were expecting. Obviously the apartments get a lot of use and so there are marks in the beige carpet and a scuff marks here and there on...

Hotel in need of major refurbishment . Decor drab carpets tired . We were located on the top floor no lifts so a hike up the stairs every time you went back to sets the room not suitable for anyone with a heart condition . Room equally depressing our view was of a run down buildihg / pigeon roost and...

Stayed for one week end of August, lovely established family run hotel full of nostalgia, surprisingly two bars, a coffee lounge overlooking the bay, unbelievable breakfast in a super banquet room more suited to royalty! Rooms are spacious slightly outdated but clean and the position is right on the promenade with magnificent views. Very central in the town with their...

.......good views, good people, and a crapper the Blessed Virgin Mary would be honoured to pitch a loaf in. Clean cutlery before the meal, clean plates after the meal, and a clean bum after that glorious log was launched.
