We stayed at the Casa Takywara for 5 nights in November 2015. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, but especially around our check-in. We arrived on the island very early in the day after taking an overnight bus from Valladolid, which meant we arrived at the hotel about 6 hours before official check-in. The staff stored...

Loved the place!!! Since the beginning the hospitability is amazing, they receive you by your name, very welcoming. The room was very nice, the bathroom products, everything in the kitchen were very useful, especially the two wine glasses! The breakfast was delicious the butter so yummy. Every single detail simply loved it!!

Nice and big room, special design but very nice. The staff is lovely and also the beach. Unfortunatly many mosquitos on the island which is very sad, because in the evening it's not possible to be outside. Even with repellent spray they bit you.

If you are looking for a nice place to relax than this is it. We stayed on the main floor and were very happy with our room. The breakfasts every morning were very tasty (please share the recipe for the papaya jam). I loved how it would appear on the patio every morning. There was coffee and sugar in the...

We loved our 4 days here but there were some issues and potential drawbacks for some. We stayed in the Luna beachfront detached room. We had never stayed in a property like this and for us this was a real experience - especially the sound of the sea at night and the darkness once the sun goes down. We embraced...

The hotel is amazing, fully furnished with small kitchen, everything you need. Fully mosquito proof with mosquito net everywhere. We had a very great time at casa takywara. Just be aware from 18,00 to 21,00 is almost impossible to stay outside during wet season due to the amount of mosquitos

Bertha has been very nice and helpful.. Room is clean & cozy. She provides water. I really like the interior design and the garden. However garden can't be enjoyed because there are TONS of Mosquitoes (I think because of the "mangroves" in front of the rooms which is very very dirty ... Even the water is red, it's a nest...

The hotel is nice and cozy, very cute and perfect for couples, but not at all for friends or family. Staff at welcome is friendly but then is hard to find anyone around. Poor breakfast, not worth at all. Wi-Fi just gets to the ground floor and not to the upper ones, where my room was. The worst is the...

I stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend in the agua room in the main building. The hotel is very lovely, picturesque and secluded with a private beach. Everything was as we needed. The room was very spacious and nice. The bathroom has very nice fixtures with a cool shower. Although it was tricky to get the right balance...

Very good experience staying at Casa Takywara. The Proprietor, Bertha, was very helpful with every aspect of my stay. She and Jose greeted me upon my late evening arrival (past 7:00 or 8:00 p.m. Made sure I was comfortable and presented me with a welcome beverage. During the stay, I had numerous questions and Bertha was always so very helpful...
