We were looking for accommodation that could also accommodate our pet greyhound. We found it at Madigans. We booked the Kookaburra Cottage and it was warm and comfortable. A little small in the living room but a nice spa bath and great outlook over the old vines from the back veranda. Nice clean bedrooms and linen. Away from the other...

We stayed as a family of four (2 adults, 2 older kids) in the Kookaburra Cottage for four days. My son was playing in a golf tournament so the proximity to Cypress Lakes served our needs well, but the cottage itself was tired and run down with poor and broken fittings and sub-standard utensils. It wasn't clear how to dispose...

Stayed here with friends on a couple of weekend retreat and found the place to be lovely and homely. There was lots of wildlife and animals around such as the horses in the paddock next door. The barn was cosy and comfortable and I would recommend this to my friends and would love to come back again.

Stayed here in the Australiana cottage for a boys golf trip. It was perfect for our needs. Plenty of room to move. Clean BBQ and outdoor setting to enjoy our meals and evening refreshments. We'd go back for sure.

John rang just ahead of checkin time to explain how to get in to our cottage as there is no reception centre on site. We loved the location which is close to all the wineries but away from the main road and all the large tourist centres. Perfect for couples like us who enjoy nature and a quiet spot to...

We stayed in The Barn with a family of five and this spot was lovely and peaceful, very relaxing. John rang ahead of time to check all was well and to let us know where to go and what to do. We were greeted by a small mob of grey kangaroos, as well as the birds. The kids loved their...

The kookaburra was a great place to stay on our weekend introducing my parents to the hunter valley on their first visit to australia. We all appreciated the peace and quiet, being able to watch the sunset over the beautiful and serene countryside, if you are being pedantic you can hear cars shoosh by but nothing like in the city...

Over the long weekend a friend and I had a joint Birthday party where 10 of our closest friends got together and went on a karaoke wine tour of the Hunter Valley. While I would NOT recommend the Happy Cabby Karaoke tour that we went on. I would totally recommend the accommodation we stayed in over two nights. 10 of...

We booked The Homestead with extremely short notice (a matter of hours!) Linda could not have been more helpful. My husband flew in with a work colleague from overseas late Friday night. The house was ready and waiting for them. I arrived with our two children a day later. The house is a fairly new build and is HUGE! 4...

Reasonable price for a long weekend in hunter valley. Cosy and comfortable with all kitchen utensil, cutlery clean and ready so we could prepare our own meal without spending extra outside. Nice spa for relaxing. Pity that not all our family member could show up and enjoy so we could not enjoy fully and didn't realize that we should not...
