Close to many of the cave attractions, and local pub, "general store" (very very basic) and cafes, as well as playground for younger kids. Does offer wifi for $5 for a GB for 24 hours. Room had a television (that only offered Christian TV but we watched a movie) and basic coffee making facilities. Clean and tidy, and perfect for...

We surprisingly got a kind of private room without asking (2 singles) so that was an added bonus. Kitchen was of good size and quality too! However, bathrooms needed a clean and the staff were clearly flustered by the Kiwi Experience hoard, which made them unapproachable

This is a pretty standard hostel. Not the cheapest but I'm waitomo there is little competition. The room I stayed in was pretty nice and spacious (a twin room). A bar is very near by and so are the caves. Have to pay for wifi which is always a downside.

1 night in the lodge in a twin room. Nice room, good size, comfortable bed. Close by well equipped kitchen and lounge area. Bathrooms were fine and clean. Nice layout of the place. Great location right by the caves and walks surrounding. Nice staff. Is part of kiwi experience. Fair price. Would recommend.

Me and my friend stayed here for 3 nights 28th - 31st October in a double room. The room was basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. The communal kitchen/dining area is large and clean, all appliances worked and there is a lovely balcony area to sit when the weather is nice. Bathrooms are also clean, however quite a...

Room was ok, very cold, hot water bad at times and heater did not work. Take blankets in cold weather! In a perfect spot with the bar and caves just down the road but you would only need to stay one night.

This place was okay. I shared this place with three other girls. This place is bare minimum. The card reader to get into the room had issues and the heater did not work. It was really cold and rainy when I visited. I was not very impressed with this place.

It's great not having to stay in bunks and it's a decent quality hostel for a visit to the caves. It is expensive at 32 dollars a night for what you get but your options are limited. Id suggest cooking as curlys bar is only average

Facilities where really good, bathrooms where clean, kitchen nice big and clean! A few minutes walk from the Waitomo glow worm caves, pub at the end of the...

The staff were so friendly, the breakfast was great and the rooms were ok but a little cold! Bed was not bad for a hostel. Carly's bar down the road was lovely and good prices considering there is not much else around!
