Stayed here for one night on a bird watching tour. It is an amazing place- with the river running through the property and forming pools and waterfalls. Very eco friendly. Looks like a big tree house built of stone. The rooms are very spacious. Ours had a suspended platform reached by a stairway with a second king size bed on...

If you want to be in contact with nature, go to bed with the sound of the water running throughout the river, then come to Paraíso Caño hondo. The staff is very kind and friendly, the owner is always around and makes sure that everything works properly. Food is very dominican, very good and a lot of options. Also while...

We came here only to eat at the restaurant and relax by the pools as part of a tour. The site is really neat. They have taken a river and channeled it into multiple human-made pools with connecting waterfalls. You can walk around the site, sunbathe or take a dip to cool off. The restaurant is an attractive building on...

Stayed in Altos, which is up the hill from Paraiso. Prefer altos for sure as more quiet and great views. Super place to relax on the porch. Service in restaurant is slow, but who is in a hurry here anyway?

The rooms are comfy and make you feel far away from your home's life, but definetely, we did enjoyed every bit of it. Food menu is a little...

I called to make reservation from Punta Cana, DR, using a local phone, however, once we arrived there and the manager realized that we were from the United States, the price that I received over the phone triple. They even charged for the excursion to "Los Haitises National Park" separately an extra $1,000 pesos/person (about $22 USD), when originally I...

I'll start out that saying the rooms here aren't bad. Not great, but acceptable. The lack of AC doesn't really become an issue since it never gets that hot in the rooms and the fan does a good job keeping things pleasant. Finding a working outlet can be tough, but at least in the various rooms I or the people...
