Nice hotel front beach in Batu Ferringhi, just 2 minutes walk to the Very popular Night Bazar... Best place if you have a scooter and you whant to visit all the island... Super Basic room but clean, big bed, and fan... good shower with lot of water...
ET Guest House is just a two minute walk to the beach - the location is great. We got a room with a private bathroom but it was only a cold shower which wasn't specified. The air con is quite noisy so it can't be left on at night. It can be quite noisy over the carport with people coming and going.
E T Budget Guesthouse,Batu Ferringhi, was right opposite the wonderful white sand beach. It couldn't be a better location. The family run guesthouse was wonderful. They never interferr in what your doing, but are on hand if you need helpful advice.A beautiful, warm family.I just loved staying there.I felt completely safe at all times, which is important to me as i am a solo backpacker. The rooms are all up stairs, with shared hot water showers. They are large with queen bed, very comfortable and towel. The only thing missing in my room was hooks to hangs things on and also no furniture, but this is only my room, the others could be different. There's a huge vehranda out the front, which looks over the ocean and great for drying your beach towel and clothes. Lots of places on the beach to eat but you won't find a cold beer as they are all Muslim. The ones that have beer are very expensive.Your much better to buy your own at a shop on the main street just around the corner called Frandies (i think that's the name or close to it).Soon, the owner lets you use his fridge, which is great for beer, fruit, yogurt, cold water etc. its not far to the bus stop,to take you to Georgetown.2.70rm cheap. And lots of places along the main road to eat.My absulute favourite was Power-Up restaurant.Great fresh seafood dishes, very cheap and fresh fruit, shakes and smooties.Beer is cheaper here also. I will return as i had the best week at E.T Guesthouse.Thank you so much Soon and family for for very comfortable stay. You are the nicest family and so helpful.…
The staff was very nice, the room OK with a fan and a window, two shared bathrooms small but clean with hot water, there is a confortable balcony, and it's well situated just in front of the beach. The negative thing is that the walls of the rooms are very thin and I heard everything that happened in the room next to mine, and the call to prayer early in the morning woke me up the both days.
The location is fantastic - the beach is right across the street and there are plenty of local food venues just steps away. The taxi we took from the airport didn't know where this hotel was, so be sure to have it on a map or on your phone to help them out. The rooms are fitted with a firm bed, table and stool, small dresser/wardrobe with a few hangers, hooks on the wall to hang other items and plenty of space for suitcases, packs, etc. Our room had it's own toilet, sink and shower but the shared ones also look very clean and same size as the one in our room. We also had an aircon and a window and all rooms have padlocks for when you are away. Note that the only amenities provided are a bar of soap and bedding. You must bring your own towels and shampoo, etc. This is budget accommodation so get over it or stay somewhere else if you cannot handle this. Laundry service is provided for a small fee and they also have a fridge that sells cold drinks which is perfect to take across the street to the beach. Upstairs has a lovely veranda where you can chill out - just be mindful of the other guests as the walls are quite thin. The free WIFI is another lovely perk. You will hear the call to prayers every morning as well as chickens, birds, and dogs starting their day. Once again, if this isn't your thing you should stay somewhere else. :) Sim and Ain (the owners) are lovely and very helpful with arranging taxi's and pointing you in the right direction for whatever you need. This is their family home and business of which they have operated for many years and we found it lovely to chat with their kids and respect the rules of the house (no shoes inside, mind your noise level, etc). We will definitely stay here again.…
Its right by the beach and it is not bad for what it is value wise. The best thing is the location. Staff are friendly. However please make sure to avoid room on 2nd floor by the veranda. I stayed in this room and its impossible to get any sleep at all. People sit on the veranda and ignore the sign to be quiet after midnite. Some people would not shut up until very late at night and since walls are paper thin I did not get a single night sleep. Which was very annoying especially since getting up early most days to do stuff.
There's a lot of Mosquitos here so dengue fever too :( hotel is very basic staff are friendly and helpful the room we had had just a fan which made a squeak rach time it turned got rather annoying the hotel is rather close to a mosque to and morning prayers start early and there load but if you can get by with this it's just by the beach and near some great little restaurants.
Accommodation was on one side great because of the location approx. 15 meters from beach, but on the other side poor because you can hear pretty much all what your neighbours are doing as well as whats going on in the hallway. Right now there is a construction of another building going on right next to the hostel so was a bit difficult to sleep in the morning. However the staff was very helpful and friendly. Anyway we didnt spent too much time in the hostel so just for sleeping was ok, just wish there was no prayers going on early morning and no construction...
It is very clean and quiet. I guess it because there is not many cust during my stay but I like it. It is very close to the beach like 3mins walk .. you can even hear the wave sound from the balcony of the questhouse.. and I think the price is good for budget traveler(I got twin bed with fan & shared bathroom for rm55).. it is a very very basic bedroom.. with only 2 bed and a table n a chair but its fine for me since its only for sleeping purpose haha bathroom got hotshower .. locationwise..it is walking distance to bars n night market .. also to the bustop Its quite cold in the night/dawn but when the sun started to rise the room can be hot as in oven .. even if u put the the fan to the highest speed.. Only 1 recommendation : maybe can put mirror in the room .. haha.. But overall.. I like it! Cheap & clean! …
Very friendly welcome at E.T Guesthouse from the owners, who keep the place spic and span! I found it exceptionally clean for such a reasonable price. I also needed an adapter and when I enquired where to buy one, they were happy to provide me with one which they said I could keep for our whole stay. We also had our laundry done at the guesthouse which was cheap and done to perfection! Beds were comfortable and rooms were spacy. We had a fan-cooled room which got very, very hot in from mid-morning on, but this was due to the very high temperatures and humidity, it got cooler in the late evening and early morning. There is also a balcony to sit out on and relax. The free wifi was very fast. Location is perfect, a two second walk to the beautiful beach, and there are a few nice cafes along the beach which are good for cheap breakfasts in the morning. Just up from the guesthouse is the main road with the night market and all the restaurants. We ate at the Long Beach hawker centre every night which is excellent and brilliant value for money. If there was one suggestion I could make I would say to have a little mirror in the rooms for girls! As there is just one to share on the upstairs floor.…
