The staff were friendly and helpful but the website and the rooms information on the TV need updating (I would have preferred it to be in writing not on the TV). There is no babysitting service, so our planned solo night out for our wedding anniversary (and our honeymoon that didn't happen due to covid) became another family dinner. The towels in the room and the rooms themselves really need an upgrade. There was nowhere to hang wet towels for 4 of us and when I asked for more towels, as they were wet from an earlier shower after the pool, I was told I'd be charged RM20 each towel. The swim up bar isn't open (something that was a big draw card for us) and the whole of Batu Ferringhi was just lacking a bit of life. There is no kids club (without parental supervision) so you can't leave your kids anywhere to have a massage or anything. The pool area was great and well maintained besides the lack of the swim up bar, and the kids areas were fantastic, but again, the towels etc need updating. We booked transfers through the hotel and despite confirming the day before no one arrived to take us to the airport. We were cutting it very fine for our flight despite confirming the day before. Was a bit disappointing for my first trip to Penang.

This was a return visit after our last visit before Covid and we were not disappointed. On arrival we were met by very friendly bell boys who helped us unload our luggage from our taxi, we were then directed to reception were we were met by the very helpful Norly who soon had us booked in and on our way to our room. We had a hill view room booked that looked over the main road which surprisingly wasn’t noisy, and Enca restaurant (highly recommended), the room was looking a bit tired and could do with a revamp but everything was clean, the bed was great very comfortable. The bathroom also needs an upgrade but again was clean and towels were clean and replaced every day, the shower was over the bathtub. Breakfast time was busy but the choice was very good with both western and Asian choices. The grounds have been updated and are well maintained with plenty of space between the cabanas, all the outdoor staff were very attentive. Overall we were very happy with our time spent here and are now planning to return next year

Nice hotel with spacious grounds, at a reasonable price. Lots of loungers around so you could lie down with a sea view without even leaving the property. There's a bus stop not far from the hotel entrance so you can easily go down to the rest of Batu Ferringhi too

i checked in around 10am, which is good they give me early check-in without telling me there's extra charges for it. when i see the room i hv a bad feeling, i found the trash inside the drawer, the bedsheet torn and stain on it. i call for room change and they cant change my room bcause i already use it for 2 hrs.!!! my stay really horrible, i pay for 3d 2N not to enjoy this kind of unprofessional services. I said i want check out n want refund but the reception said its not impossible and the best part she want to charge me for cleaning service and for early check-in which is i never ask her to check me in before 3pm!!!!! wowwwww... i was speechless i was mad af. im working in 5 star as a manager and this hotel really need to teach their staff of customers service.

We stayed at this hotel 25-29 Nov in room 302. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and with a good sized balcony. The room was always cleaned well and stocked with tea/coffee and bathroom supplies. Cleaning can be booked using the app which was very convenient. The pool area is spacious and kept clean with plenty of sun beds and towels. The beach at the back of the hotel is lovely and quiet. Frendys beach bar next door is great for food/drinks and the singer they have is very good. If you head along the beach to the right of the hotel there are plenty of restaurants and bars and fire shows in the evening. Travel to the hotel from the airport via grab cost 44-63MYR depending on time of day. Travel to Penang hill was 33-48. Travel to Georgetown was 22, bus back was 2.7MYR to bus stop at hard rock next door to Bayview. If you book this hotel with Agoda check your booking invoice as tourist tax will be included. The hotel charged me when booking in but refunded as soon as I showed the agoda invoice. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel.

Stayed at the resort for 4 days and 3 nights from 29 January until 1 February 2024. The last time we were here were from 14 to 17 August 2023 (also 4 days and 3 nights).
At the reception counter, I was greeted by warm, friendly and smiling Norly who recognized me immediately. As expected, checking-in at the reception counter was swift and smooth.
The Family Room Hillview was spacious, clean and the air-conditioning was just right. The room came with a mini fridge, a safe, ironing board with iron and also a kettle with complimentary coffee, tea, sugar and creamer sachets. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The balcony overlooked the Batu Ferringhi Road. Across the road are Pak Mid Café, Restoren Abah and Enca Restaurant. The Hard Rock Café is just to the left of the hotel. All within 5 minutes' walk.
The bathroom has a bathtub and was clean. The bath towels were very clean and soft. The pools were clean and the garden well groom and looked after.
We had our breakfast every morning at the La Veranda Coffeehouse which offered a wide range breakfast buffet spread. I will review La Veranda Coffeehouse in another post.
My humble opinion - It was a great family staycation.

I first visited this hotel back in 2005 and it still holds up as a no-frills decent hotel. It has immaculate gardens with palm trees and other plants. There is a swimming pool with a kids pool and a waterfall. There are plenty of loungers around. The beach is just past the gate although not many people take to sea because of jellyfish. The room is large and well kept with a comfortable bed. There is a shower over bathtub with was disappointing as the bathtub did not work well with holding water of draining it. Towels, sheets and bathroom toiletries were changed daily. Breakfast was decent with plenty of space and wide choice of food. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is in a good location adjacent to the beach. Butbthe beach is open access so there are no hotel loungers or umbrellas actually on the beach. These are around the pool and in the gardens. There is a gate that leads onto the beach controlled by security guards.
The breakfasts are good covering Western and Asian cuisine.
The atrium is impressive.
Arrival by taxi is smooth and there is a covered portal which is useful in case of rain. A Grab taxi ride from the airport cost RM 37. But that will vary according to demsnd. There is a bus stop almost outside the property.
Along the beach to the left there is a great restaurant with room outside and inside in case of rain. Outside the restaurant there are several restaurants serving a mixture of cuisines.
The side rooms with a partial see view on the 9th floor are great with a nice view. But they overlook the children's pool area. And happy kids are noisy early morning. So this is a family hotel and there could be crying and screaming children at breakfast. There is a large safe deposit box and an iron and ironing board. There is also an empty fridge.
The big and only disappointment is the poor condition of the bathrooms. They look 20 years old. And so do the towels. The doors need staining. But the walkways look like they have been freshly painted.
