This used to be our fav Hotel in Penang. We have been here almost 3-4 times now. But our current stay is horrible and we just checked in. First, guests are going into the pool in their normal clothes. Signs are displayed that you need proper swim attire. Second, we see guest eating McD takeaway in the pool area in public. Third, we had 3 towels (even after asking for new ones) with stains. Sorry, we will just keep the old memories and will no longer return. Such a huge difference compared to the last 3 nights when were at Angsana, Teluk Bahang.
We stayed in the old wing - Premier seafacing room for 2 nights. The check-in took about 20 minutes due to crowd. I do applaud the the staff in handling the irate customers. Due to SOP, there was no welcome drinks etc.and limited seating capacity. The room itself is dated but spacious and should be able to comfortably fit 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 kids. And i liked that there is a seating area at the balcony with ceiling fan. It has nice views of the garden and also beach. Unfortunately there were ants where they kept the sugar/ tea/ coffee drawers and the balcony was dusty. The phone was not working but we bumped into the bell boy who then took our complaints and request for additional towels and toiletries. They ratify our complaints when we return to hotel after dinner. The gym is adequate but again dated. The pool is crowded so we stayed away. The garden area with deck chairs however are so relaxing. We totally enjoyed relaxing after dinner there sipping our drinks. Not a perfect stay but still worth the penny we spent. Kudos on the great customer service.…
The hotel is no longer the respectable reputation it used to be with unkept facilities and room service not up to mark. Such a pity as its low density development and matured casuarinas amongst a large lawn is a unique selling point. Deck chairs are in disrepair. Food selection and quality at the restaurant can be better particularly at breakfast buffet. The beach is not great as a stagnant stream shared with neighboring lots pour waste out to sea. The council can do much to assist the hotel industry for the good of Feringhi beach tourism. Staff were friendly and not to fault but manpower is just inadequate. Management needs to look at investing for the long run. Unfortunately not worth the price you pay.
we just love to have our vacation on weekdays to practice 3C (avoid crowd). Planned to stay 1 night, booked the premium garden suite and because we enjoyed our stay (great room, great food, good location), so we extended our stay for 1 night. Although the on-the-spot price (at booking.com) was about double from what we paid the night before, Anjana, the front-office staff tried her level best to accommodate our request and even gave us extra service (breakfast included price). Tell you, breakfast so good. Even we willing to pay cash for our breakfast on 2nd day because it was not included in the package. Surely will stay here again. Thank you.
This is my first staycation at Lone Pine with the family and it was a splendid stay. We really enjoyed the vacation and the staffs are really friendly and we even received a free upgrade of room - so that was really surprising. Breakfast was also really good and generally the facility was amazing. My only comments for further improvements for your consideration: 1. Bath tub at the balcony needs to be slightly cleaner. We did not use it in the end as we have a 17 months old with us and had to ensure it has to be genuinely clean. 2. Dinner @ The Bungalow was slightly disappointing. The Seafood Platter (I cannot recall the actual menu name) was too salty. It looked liked the food was grilled and dressed with only one specific sauce which was quite "boring" and it made all the various seafood taste alike. The Fried Rice was OK. Other than that everything was good. We will definitely look to return on our next staycation when we are in Batu Feringghi area!…
