If there is 0 star rating for this review, it is the rating I will be giving. We have planned for a staycation at this hotel for quite some time and the kids were excited for the stay but unfortunately it turned out to be otherwise. Upon arrival, we were blocked by an inconsiderate guest waiting to check in. All the cars waiting to enter the lobby were blocked but no action has been taken asking the guest to move the car. Worst still, no one comes to our assistance for luggage. When entering the room, you knew the room was not occupied for quite some time, there was a smell but luckily it went away. Here comes the “highlight” of the stay. 1. We requested for cutleries, was told its chargeable 2. We requested for extras drinking water, again its chargeable 3. Parking is chargeable 4. Kids club is chargeable When checking out, asked the on duty manager why the above is chargeable. Was told cutleries shouldn’t be chargeable but we have been told otherwise but couldn’t explain why the rest are chargeable. Obviously, this is a hotel is very much “hunger for money”. Kids club was meant to be the attraction of the hotel selling for the parents to bring their kids to the hotel but we have to pay. We are frequent traveller with at least having staycation for at least every quarter and NEVER in our encounters we had to pay for cutleries, drinking water and kids club. Besides, what ever reasons we have been by the management was totally not aligned of what we have been told. No proper communication to the ground staff, it shows the incompetency of how this whole thing is managed. NEVER again, we will step into this hotel and we will tell the same to others if we were asked about this hotel.…

The lobby was well decorated and felt the space well aired. Lots of seating corners, with band performance at night, in the lounge area. Lots of activities for families with kids. Pool tables and many activities for kids are available. Reception staff are well trained and super hospitable. Always eager to render assistance. Congrats, and keep up the good work. The room cleanliness was top notch, and amenities are adequate. Even the HSKP staff was accommodating to any requests. Swimming pools are available for both adults and the kids' categories. Breakfast was fantastic catering to local and international cuisine. F&B staff were fast in clearing tables and ensuring a nice clean table always ready for utilisation. In other words, the staff had upheld the brand name "Hilton" inside their hearts with passion and discharged their responsibilities with confidence, passion, and reliability. Cleanliness in public areas is top notched. Well done to FO Staff, F&B Staff, and HSKP Staff!! You all deserved my admiration and compliments. …

All areas of hotel very clean and staff very welcoming. New Executive Chef checked our meal requirementsans made sure we were looked after. Good food and comfortable bedroom. Particular thanks to Sammyat who served us in the bar. He was exceptionally welcoming and efficient. Great overall stay thanks 👍

While we came in early in the morning , we waited patiently to check in. However, it is very disappointing that the staff didn’t give much information about the hotel or where to find what. Unlike many other hotels where they give you a lot of information knowing you are a tourist. After check in we also had a terrible experience with the toilet flushes which didn’t work. While it was addressed immediately upon notification the experience was bad, especially since we waited patiently for the room to be ready. The hotel dine in service. One of us were unwell and upon requesting if they could customize to have a different menu it first answer was no. This was shocking as this is the first time I hear any hotel service say, “sorry we only have serve what’s on the menu”. I had to insist saying I was not well before they checked with the chef to deliver what I wanted. The food was average . The breakfast buffet which we had to pay 136 for 2 adults was one of the worst kind I have ever had. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. It seems there is a lot of variety but honestly poor quality of food was served. The vegetable soup was salty and had a bit of worn out taste. Most of the food was way too salty and was not warm enough. Overall the hotel is 3/10.…

We booked a Family Suite Room that comes with one bedroom with King Size bed and the other with 2 twin bed. It is one of the newer hotel around this area. Hard Rock hotel is under renovation but it’s open, very nice pool with many slides for the kids. Double Tree’s family suite room comes with a small kitchen with glass bottled water, huge fridge, coffee machine. The condition of the sofa and chairs in the living area is a bit wear off. Generally the room is clean except for the balcony area which is difficult to maintenance. The service is great. The staff actually WhatsApp you to check and make sure everything is ok and you are happy with the room. At breakfast buffet, the staff also check in to make sure we are happy so they can get 9 or 10 stars rating. Buffet food has good varieties (Indian, Malay, Chinese, Western) but we have same option on the 2 days we were there. There’s a small pool for younger kids with slide. And a mid size pool for adult. A baby pool too. Overall, the hotel is great and location is good not too deep in so it’s easier and closer to get to George Town. Not beach front hotel but we get sea view room. Anyway, Penang beach has jellyfish and sandfly. There’s a bridge to the beach that you can walk over but nothing fantastic. Bridge not under construction when I was there. Need to pay RM$3 for parking (full day and multiple entry). Bed is comfortable, soft mattress.…

Nice resort that is located a bit off, but with good communication. Taxi or bus is needed to find another place for dinner apart from the hotel. Unfortunately there was a renovation ongoing for the connecting bridge to the beach, so we didn't visit. But the pool was totally fine for the kids during our 5 day stay. We had the the pleasure to have a really good housekeeping, and "Shamem" kept both us and our kids happy with beautiful decoration with the towels, as well as always a smile and happy face. Breakfast is good, and especially the Indian/Malaysian part have many different dishes. However it could take some time for some dishes to get refilled. One thing to have in mind though, the entrance to the kids club is only entrance. And if the staff ask kids to do something extra, that they accept they will charge for that activity without confirm with parents. The cost is not huge for each extra activity, and kids really enjoyed the time spent there. But it we were not informed about it. However, at checkout Doubletree solved it in a good way for us. …

We stayed in Hilton from 18-24 Oct (total of 2 different groups and different bookings) and we were deeply appreciative of the service provided to us. There were a few issues at the start regarding the cleanliness, arrangement and room preparedness that affected us at the start. But these were all recovered by the team to provide us with an awesome experience. A big shoutout to Hema and Kay Shin who assisted us with our bookings, Saiful and team for maintaining our room, and Yus from the breakfast team who greeted and remembered us from our previous stay! Once again a memorable and pleasant stay at Hilton. Thank you for maintaining the experience!
