This was our 4th visit to Hamanasi in 3 years and we've already booked for 2024. Your first impressions start with Reservations who attend to every detail of your trip well before you arrive. The front desk staff always remembering us by name and always successfully addressing any concern or issue with a smile is their trademark. Again, first and last impressions are so important and every staff members' concern and warmth is genuine. Given how much is included in the package price, Hamanasi is one of the best bargains for a vacation in the Caribbean or anywhere else. The massage therapists are experts---best massage in the world! The excursion guides are the best we've encountered anywhere in our travels. Professional, safety-conscious, knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. Everyone at Hamanasi loves sharing their country and culture with you to enrich your visit. The Singanga restaurent is 5-Star Chef quality, and they will size your meal up or down at your request. We met many visitors there this year who were first timers, and every one of them said they plan to go back. That's the power of what Hamanasi has built into their resort brand: you want to go back again and again! We consider it our second home and tell everyone we meet about them. No review can substitute for experiencing the best dive and adventure resort in Belize!

Hamanasi's staff are incredibly organized, friendly, and thoughtful. They go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and to accommodate guests' wishes. The adventure center is professionally run, with staff ensuring we had a thorough orientation meeting to plan the best excursions for us. And the excursions were fantastic. Snorkeling is top notch with knowledgeable guides. The grounds are meticulously cared for. The beach suites are beautiful. The view of the sea and sound of the waves are captivating. The food was delicious, far exceeding our expectations, featuring herbs and veggies grown onsite. Happy hour each evening around the pool included delicious free snacks and yummy mojitos!

Hamanasi was amazing. First, the food was so deliscious! It was interesting and many dishes merged Belizian and foreign cuisine in an interesting twist. Second, we loved all the small touches at the resort like the handwritten note on a leaf! We appreciated thier comittment to sustainability: reusable towels in the public restrooms, reussable water bottles to fill up around the resrt and on excursions if you didn't bring one etc. Third was the staff and excursions! Everyone was nice and willing to help during our stay. We went on one dive and on 2 land trips and they were so amazing! The guides were incredible and so knowledgeable. We learned so so much about the local life, culture, and Mayan civilization. The guides truly made the experience top notch. The dive boat is sizeable, but they split you up into smaller groups and pair you with a DM based on skill (ie. some dove deeper at the same site). We stopped on an Island on the Cayes for a nice long break in between dives. The beach is really nice, but not the crystal clear calm turquise water you get out in the Cayes. Some one day the water was quite calm and clear, but most days it was wavy. We are comfortable swimming in water like that, but I know not everyone is. It is a very good beach for walking - soft sand and it streches on for a while though you will eventually walk past other resorts.

Pretty sure this is the most impressive experience I have ever encounter, both in hospitality and in location. Amazing job to all the staff there. Food, rooms, tours, snorkeling, rain forest, ocean. Everything hit the spot. And the staff is the cherry on top of the cake. I wish I could name them all individually

We had the most relaxing experience during our stay at Hamanasi. The staff was fabulous taking care of us as if we were family. We had no special needs during our stay; however the Hamanasi staff continued to ask us frequently if we needed anything. Highly recommend for couples, family, and friends. A great place to enjoy while experiencing diving, fishing, or local site seeing adventures. The restaurant was spectacular in quality and service.

My teenage daughters and I had a wonderfully memorable visit at Hamanasi. Our goal was to get our PADI Open Water certification, which we accomplished, and more. Our scuba instructor, Evan, was fantastic. He was very skilled, but also patient and kind. We all felt very safe with him, the entire professional and very fun crew on the dive boat, and the process. The rest of the Hamanasi experience was just icing on the cake, too much to list, but I will try: warm and dedicated staff at every level, gorgeous remote location, a wide selection of jungle, hiking, cave, waterfall adventures you can choose as you go in addition to scuba and snorkeling on the Belize Barrier Reef, exposure to Mayan and Garifuna culture, exceptional food at their onsite restuarant (a different menu each day - including a vegatarian menu!) and truly spectacular service. We joked we didn't understand how everyone on the team seemed to know each of our names, and also knew when we left our room because each time we returned, it was tidied up! I'd recommend staying in a treehouse which in itself was a really wonderful experience!

My Review: "Awesome Experience! Just Go!" Wife's Review: Another Unforgettable Visit to Hamanasi! My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting Hamanasi again last month. Our first visit was in 2016, and we would have returned sooner but for the pandemic. It was a long wait between visits, but well worth it! It’s difficult to capture the magic of Hamanasi in writing, but here are some highlights: Accommodations: During our first trip to Hamanasi, we stayed in a Treehouse Room, which was a great experience. For this trip, however, we decided to try one of the Beachfront Rooms. We were not disappointed! The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. (NOTE: We learned that the majority of the furnishings at Hamanasi are made on-site at the carpentry shop, which guests can visit.) We happened to arrive on my husband's birthday and found a “Happy Birthday” message spelled out on the bed. (No... I did not tell anyone that it was his birthday. They just knew!) The Housekeeping Team does an incredible job of keeping the rooms immaculate, and their extra touches, such as the personalized welcome notes and the homemade Belizean fudge, made the room feel like home. When I mentioned how much I enjoyed the fudge, they gave me the recipe! Adventures: Hamanasi has something for everyone to enjoy the beauty of Belize. We spent three days diving the Southern Barrier Reef with Hamanasi’s top notch dive crew, including John, Eric, BJ, and Gariff. The dive briefings were thorough, and it is clear that safety is paramount. Everyone on the crew was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The reefs were full of marine life, including nurse sharks, stingrays, spotted eagle rays, sea turtles, moray eels, etc. We will gladly dive the Southern Barrier Reef again, but we are also planning to dive the atolls during our next visit. Maybe even try a night dive! For our land adventure, we went on the “Cave Tubing Adventure Tour” with Angel, who I had previously met during an on-grounds bird watching tour. On our way to the site, Angel spotted two toucans. These were the first toucans that we have seen in their natural habitat. As we walked through the rainforest to reach the cave entrance, Angel spotted an emerald toucanet and a howler monkey. All of this before the adventure officially began! Angel was a very knowledgeable guide, who provided a lot of information about the significance of the site, as well as an in-depth overview of Mayan history and culture in Belize. Combined with the refreshing and crystal-clear water, it was a great way to spend the day on land. For our next trip, we are planning to try the Waterfall Rappelling Adventure! Dining: We greatly enjoyed the fresh food, much of which is locally sourced (including from the on-site organic garden, which guests are welcome to visit). The Culinary Team even made several traditional Belizean dishes after I mentioned that I would like to experience local cuisine. After we said how much we enjoyed the caye lime pie (one of my husband's favorite desserts), they gave us the recipe! Singanga is an elegant and inviting place to enjoy meals. The Hospitality Team made us feel at home at every meal. Extra touches, such as his birthday dessert and remembering that he likes iced tea, were very considerate. During our stay, we enjoyed seeing and talking with Abby, Christina, Erisie, Elvira, Charles, and Reion. Overall: While Hamanasi is a beautiful resort with so much to offer, it is the Hamanasi family that makes it special. They make everything look effortless and are some of the hardest working people we have had the pleasure of meeting. In sum, the Hamanasi family is an integral part of the experience!
