We stayed there 5 nights and we absolutely loved it. The staf is so nice and helpful. They really treated us like family. It's a 3min walk to the beach (amazing beach) and they have some dogs and cats who welcome you. We took yoga classes and loved it (for just 5usd!!) the rooms are nice - the only bad...

This hostel has the worst vibes of any hostel I have ever been to. The owner is a total misogynist, ask him about surf conditions and he will basically tell you to "go suntan with the other girls." and when someone basically sexually assaults you in your dorm room. he will do almost nothing. this place is the worst place...

I recently stayed at Don Jon’s for a good friend’s wedding. I had never been to Costa Rica – the furthest South I had traveled was Mexico and that was either on a cruise or in a timeshare. Needless to say I didn’t know quite what to expect. I can tell you that from the moment we walked through the...

Great place to meet other travelers! It's close to the beach. There aren't personal safes for things but you can leave small valuables at the desk. Can be noisy at night. Lots of hammocks to hang out and relax in.

The place is located at what i would say the heart of Santa Teresa. A quick walk down to the beach for check if there is good surf. At Don Jon’s there is a special family like atmosphere, where everybody is welcome. A lot of open minded people, surfers and travellers tend to stay here. There is different kind of...

Doesn't get much more chilled out than Don Jon's! Great local, especially if your interested in the surf. Only 100 yards or so from the access trail to Playa Santa Teresa. The best break around. Excellent staff, and Jon himself is a a solid guy. I stayed here for a few weeks over October-November and would highly recommend it.

Stayed here for what was originally a few days and then became a few more. Very close to the beach and shops, great social area for meeting and talking to people, nice hammocks, free coffee in the morning and the atmosphere is perfect. What's also great is that Jon (owner), Esteban and the rest of the staff too - all...

Don Jon's is one of these places where you quickly feel at home with its relaxed vibe, friendly staff and beautiful garden. Everything is perfectly clean and accommodating. We were three friends and stayed in one of the bungalows at the back of the property, a pretty good value choice for a group of people. You'll have your own fridge,...

We stayed in Don Jon's for almost a week in November and we had one of the private little "cabanas". Excellent location (very close to the beach). The shower was just perfect, one of the best of our trip to be fair, super clean rooms and great internet connection! Small kitchen but very handy and you get a private fridge...
