We loved the property and proximity to the beach. The pool was a nice escape when the sun was too hot to lay at the beach, the trees provided shade and brought lots of different birds. We had a great time.

We had a great stay at Hotel Raratonga and the owners and all staff treated us like family. It was always like coming home. I would come back here anytime! Also the place is perfectly located for surfing and enjoying the city of Santa Teresa.

The room is very clean and well decorated but we did not like the bed too small for a couple, the owners who are not helpful (you don't get the services like in a hotel) for ex: the parking closed at 9pm which is obviously too early! the problem is that if you walk, it is too far and you...

Santa Teresa's quiet and breathtaking nature and Costa Rica's genuine hospitality are matched just perfectly at Raratonga. What a great little place that's just what they claim to be and made this trip a success! I will be staying here again in the future.

“Keep in mind that it is a simple hotel. Don't expect a flat screen TV and 5 star resort room service. If thats what you are looking for, then why bother even coming to costa rica, if you plan to sit in your ac hotel room all day and watch TV. Montezma falls is near by, you can take an ATV there. the surf is great, even on small days. there are boat taxi's to tortuga island. I always found myself building a fort on the beach drinking coconuts. The local restaurants are wonderful. ”
