A comfortable place to rest in between adventures. Off the beaten path, good bedding. Hiking trail leads to the square trunked trees. Wifi works and the staff are nice. Interesting natural pool with waterfall.

We stayed Easter Week in April 2014. It was the 4th hotel we tried The Golden Frog (looked lovely) was full, as was the Cabanas Potosi. Crater Valley was $209 vs $112 for Campestre, and in my opinion those at Campestre are nicer. The rooms here are newly remodeled, and very light, airy and pleasant. It's nice and cool and... More

Our stay at Hotel Campestre was unplanned. We had reservations for four nights at another lodging in El Valle but left after two nights because I could not sleep with the incessant barking of dogs. We came here for a hike, and I asked if a room was available because it was removed from the noise of the town. The... More

I have not stayed there but have seen it on a walk to the "square trees". The grounds are extensive, beautiful and well maintained with a big lawn, a pool with patio and tables, alfresco dining room. It seemed very clean and quiet. the staff was helpful.

Wonderful rustic (but very clean and well maintained) hotel at the edge of the forest, but near town. Very attentive and helpful staff made a business meeting go smoothly. Food was very good. Be sure to explore the trail that winds through the forest up the mountain behind the hotel. Also visit the nearby El Valle Amphibian Conservation Center (EVACC)... More

If you want to enjoy a quiet and peaceful time, this is definitely the place to stay. Beautiful lands, big rooms, excellent service... My husband and I have gone to this place twice already and will return for sure.

I stayed for a night after a non-planned overnight trip to El Valle. The Hotel is close to town but surrounded by heavy forested hills covered in mist in the middle of an open field so must be the closest feeling to be in the middle of nowhere. There are no TV sets on the rooms so the only noise... More
