Gabi & Bernhard are very welcoming hosts at their comfortable and well cared for traditional style chalet hotel, a very short walk from the centre of Ehrwald. The hearty and varied cold breakfast buffet (plus warm boiled eggs) sets you up for a day of walking. The balcony views have wonderful views. Can't wait to visit for a third year.

Really loved this place. We walked in looking for a room for the night, but liked it so much we stayed for two! Both of the owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. We were really made to feel welcome. The room was excellent, with the balcony view being so nice that we got take out for dinner on the first night so that we could enjoy it further. A high point of our entire trip to Austria.

We had a lovely visit to Hotel Alpin! It is a cozy atmosphere with a nice breakfast. The ski bus stops right at the front door and ski/boot storage is easy. The pool and many tasty restaurants are within 2-5 mins walk. Gabi and Bernhardt are very kind and helpful. We had a wonderful holiday! Thank you!

Stayed here on first and last nights of our trekking holiday. Great position in centre of town. The owners are very friendly. Comfortable spacious rooms with nice views. Plenty of choice for breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We were made to feel welcome at the outset when we arrived with a warm reception from the owners. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. There was no problem with storing some luggage for safekeeping while we trekked. We would love to come back again!

I felt very welcome here. Room was very clean and comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast was the standard Tyrolean fare plus hard boiled eggs. If I ever return to Ehrwald I wouldn't bother looking at any other hotels.

Ehrwald itself is a great location on the foot of the zugspitz, the hotel itself was perfect, the staff bended over backwards, washing our clothes when we asked, putting the sauna on for us after a long bike ride, and accommodating to one member of our group who are gluten free by offering bread and muesli Would recommend!

We had the best experience with hotel Alpin where we stayed for 2 nights during our roadtrip through Austria. Ehrwald is a wonderful choice, we enjoyed so much the views, the kiking opportunities, the easy acces to cable cars, directly from the village. We ate at local restaurants, Al Castagno (pizza and pasta, all right) and Leiter (seasonal mushroom specialities), great food. Our hosts were super thoughtful from the moment we booked our room till we left. We booked to Alpin on our way from Salzburg to Tirol. We booked our room late, for the same evening, and so our hosts immediately called to give us instructions about finding the key and everything. In the end they waited for us to arrive anyway and helped us to settle in. The parking space is right behind the hotel. The hotel itseld is at the main road but has magnificent 360 views of surrounding mountains! Since they did not have a balcony at our booked room (which would have not been a problem for us) our hosts upgraded our room to one of their best, no 18, with wonderful views of the mountains, incuding the Zugspitze. Breakfast at Alpin was delicious, atmosphere cosy. We needed some guidance to find a pharmacy that would be open late in the night and our hosts helped us find one. We felt good, like we were visiting relatives :) hope we come back!…

Made to feel very welcome as we arrived from a long day of hiking through wet conditions. Very pleasant room with balcony. Boots and socks dried for us. Everything we needed for breakfast with host very pleasant and couldn't do enough for us. Would love to come back for a winter season.

A perfect January storm, and stuck traffic on Fernpass, diverted us into Ehrwald late on Saturday evening. The Firemen in Lermoos said we could go no further due to blocked roads. Wondering what to do next we chanced upon the perfect hospitality of Alpin Hotel in Ehrwald, where we were fortunate to secure a last minute room without a reservation at a late hour. After five hours stuck in traffic the genuine hospitality was very welcomed, and we were fed an excellent meal of local dishes, and tucked in to our most comfortable room as the snow continued to fall. We woke to a great view of the Zugspitze as the clouds broke, and were treated to an equally excellent breakfast. The hospitality here was amazing, with everyone going out of their way to ensure we were taken care of. The staff facilities are first rate, and the location and views are great as well. Although we found the Hotel Alpin through chance and road closures, this will be our chosen lodging on our next visit to Ehrwald and the Zugspitze arena.
