We spent some days at this wonderful and typical tirolian hotel. Nice rooms, wonderful view, quit place and very friendly service.OUtside of the pool area was so rwelaxing - simply wonderful. So thank you for all - we willcome back to this charming hotel.
I had a double room for sole use at a small supplement. Settee, chairs, tables,2 wardrobes and fridge. Very spacious with a balcony and wonderful views. The staff at this hotel were so friendly and all the meals were delicious. I was in a walking group and we were all of the same opinion. Also every afternoon complimentary tea or coffee and lovely cakes. A real treat. Everything spotlessly clean. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough.
We just returned from 4-nights stay there this month (July 2019). We've stayed there during prior 5 trips to Tirol, so hopefully that indicates there is no need for us to look for alternate hotels. Their service, courtesy, breakfasts, dinners, rooms, pool, and location are wunderbar.
Having spent time here through bad weather and ideal weather, this hotel was always a joy to come back to. Great staff in restaurant at breakfast and dinner, 5 course dinners each evening , good salad buffet every evening, pool and spa are well presented, gardens provide a good outdoor space to enjoy the sun. Rooms very spacious, all seem to have a balcony with views from all angles. Great for families, groups or individuals. Loved the afternoon tea!
We have just spent an absolutely amazing week at this hotel. The hotel itself is wonderful - spacious rooms, lovely dining areas and a children's playground out the back. It is about 4 mins' walk from the village centre. The food was excellent and we over-ate (sorry!) most nights. There's a lovely spa/pool area downstairs. What really stood out for us, though, were the staff, who were incredibly friendly with some thoughtful little touches laid on to surprise our 4-year-old daughter from time-to-time during the week. Just little things, but it really made the stay special. I don't give 5* reviews without good cause, but this hotel is exceptional - many thanks for a fabulous holiday!
Very nice hotel. Very clean and the public areas had a very pleasent floral smell. The beds were comfortable and the room had a balcony that we could see the Zugspitze mountain. The staff were very friendly and made sure that we as English speaking vistors were provided with english menus and vistor literature. The evening meals were delicious with a choice of 4 different entrees. The family owned hotel is a very pleasant place to stay, with many amenities.
July we started our trip and the Hotel Alpen Residence was our first stop . My brother in law and grand daughters have stayed there in the past but this was my first stay there . The rooms are nice and the view we had was more then I had hoped for . Everyone who worked there was great , friendly , and very helpful ! Met the owners and some of there family and couldn't have met any nicer people ! My wife and I had our 43rd anniversary while we were there and our waiter Pete made it very special thank Pete and the staff for everything . We will be back soon I hope !
Our room at the hotel (Room 16) was excellent, spacious, comfortable and well equipped, and everything worked. Food was quite good but a tendency to overuse processed elements, some of poor enough quality. Amongst the "pre-packed" items we experienced were potato croquettes, onion rings and apple fritters which were inedible. We also suspected most of the deserts were of the "bought in" variety and some were pretty poor. I regard Kaiserschmarrn as a real treat when in Austria. It appeared as a desert item on the dinner menu one evening so naturally I chose it. It was awful. Instead of being freshly cooked pancake it tasted like some long life confection posing as Kaiserschmarrn. Really awful. Breakfast was OK but compared to other 4* hotels in Tirol it lacked variety. We were also surprised to find our breakfast table becoming cluttered with used dishes as staff never bothered to clear them away. Service ranged from very friendly (both ladies who served us drinks and the waiter from Hungary) to careless (Reception staff) and even downright rude (a breakfast waitress). In a small hotel, guests might expect a smile when they passed in or out by reception. Doesn't happen at Alpen Residence. Overall the hotel is comfortable, clean and well presented. The overall experience is diminished by the lack lustre attitude of some staff and disappointing food.…
We stayed here again this year for a week on the skis with the kids. We had a family room with was excellent for the four of us. Hotel offered half board with a great choice for the breakfast. During breakfast you had to choose your main course for the dinner already. Everyday a choice between 4 dishes for adults and 3 kids dishes. So enough choice. Quality was good. Dinner always started with a starter and a soup. There was also a salad bar and a choice of 2 deserts. Hotel has a small pool, great for kids. I was happy management checked sometimes that the bigger 12+ kids were jumping in the pool and disturbing the small kids which happened sometimes. So for us a great week in a great hotel.
Stayed with my son, daughter in law and two year old grandson. Made to feel welcome by friendly staff who were very helpful with a toddler’s needs. A good breakfast buffet and choice of dinners, all beautifully presented. Rooms clean and spacious and pleased I was able to adjust the heating to cool. Transfer to Munich airport service efficient and comfortable in heavy snow conditions. Thank you.
