We have eaten at the hotel's "gastronomic" restaurant several times, and find the food, the service, the attention to detail excellent. To celebrate our wedding anniversary recently, we decided to stay at the hotel (even though we don't live that far away). The place is indeed charming -- for instance, we enjoyed reading in the salon in front of an...

We were delighted with the tranquility and the spirit here, and very impressed with the dining room -both the food and the ambiance. It is a pleasure to recommend this inn in the Dordogne. We travelled to Lascaux II and enjoyed the pretty town of Limeuil just 5 minutes away.

I am embarrassed to say that it took 25 years to return here!! From stumbling upon a haven of gastronomy whilst camping in our teens (clad in T-shirts and shorts!) to our next return for my birthday just recently (now that we are all grown-up and live in France), none of the magic has faded. In fact, we actually walked...

We were visiting our daughter who is at school in the Dordogne- the school is known to the hotel and a splendid reduction in rates was offered. I am sure this was because this is the off season but it was a delightful touch. The hotel was a charming French country house- rustic and comfortable. In no way luxurious but...

Don't come to Tremolat expecting restaurants, cafes and a wonderful shops and bakeries. Le Vieux Logis seems to be a well worn stop for cycling groups passing through. We stayed in a gorgeous junior suite with our family. This opened out onto a beautiful formal French garden and pool. The decor in the suite was delightfully French and so well...

We've known this hotel for the past 15 years have have come back many times over the years. We love the hotel, the gardens, the atmosphere. The hotel is set in an old tobacco farm (tobacco being a traditional crop of the region). Each room is different. The staff is always attentive to your needs. The restaurant is fabulous. The...

Amazing! Nice rooms, good swimming pool, good restaurant. There was fois gras on the kids menu!!!!! There is also this ice cream that tastes like Carambar, a popular French candy, which is absolutely amazing!!! They let us stay with our dog, which was nice. The restaurant is nice with a pleasant outdoor dining area. This hotel is very fancy though....

What can I say! Is there anything better than coming upon a Relais Chateau Hotel after a 25 km trek through the French forests around Dordogne. We wandered the lovely gardens and made our way to our lovely french toile adorned room. Even the beds were comfortable-which is sadly lacking in most of France. The venerable atmosphere was topped off...

This is not quite a luxury hotel or inn. It is an old inn with some degree of charm. Without the restaurant I do not think there would the attraction here. The gardens are quite pleasant, and the setting outside for dinner on a warm summer night is lovely. We stayed one night, and that was enough. We had a...

Not an easy place to find, but once you've arrived, a peaceful, quiet, and old-world tobacco-plantation meets modern comfort in a nature-at-its-best location is ready for the taking. Everything here is simple (except for the gastronomic restaurant, which is spectacular, and set amidst a magical garden of quiet tables, each candlelit, and a gentle whisper of the wind making its...
