The location of the hotel is perfect for a skiing holiday. Next door to the bus station for linga and pre la joux or a 5 minute walk to super Châtel gondola. The food was excellent and the hosts friendly and helpful. The room was basic but what more do you need?a comfortable bed, constant hot water,bath/shower, storage space. Car parking was in the multi-storey car park next door to the hotel. We never moved the car all week as the transport around the town is excellent. This was all included in the price. We stayed half board and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the 3 course set menu. Our daughter is quite a fussy eater so when we asked for something different for her, it was no bother at all. The highlights for us were the raclette, steak and tartiflette. Having eaten those, there was always an excellent selection of desserts to choose from. Also cheese was offered as an extra course at no extra cost. Overall, we will definitely go back. Excellent value for money and nice people. A hidden gem

Stayed here with friends in three rooms. Has space to store ski and snow equipment which was a bonus that we hadn't realised. rooms were OK, heater, balcony, wardrobe, drawers. Has a restaurant in the hotel which was often busy but has lots of tables. Location was within walking distance of everything you need, bars restaurants and shops. Super châtel ski lift was also a 5 min walk away. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming

We had a very pleasant stay here. You get what you pay for in terms of the rooms. They were small but perfectly adequate as we skied all day and only used to room to sleep in. We had access to a large shared balcony that over looked the mountains which was a welcomed bonus. The owners are very pleasant and nothing was too much. We didn't book to have breakfast or dinner included but it was very easy to add on. The restaurant is quite expensive but the food was beautiful so I would recommend it. The chalet is located within a couple of minutes walk of the bus stop to take you to the main lifts or you can take a slightly further (uphill) walk to the cable car in Chatel.

We had a good few days in Chatel, a resort we know well. This was to visit our son who was working in a local bar. This Hotel is very well located in the middle of Chatel, right next to the bus station, and not far from the main lift to the slopes. The room was pretty small, requiring patience to move around. It was also a bit shabby with out dated decor and fittings. However the place was warm, clean and the water was HOt whenever we wanted a shower. The restaurant apparently sells good food according to our local friends, but seems expensive vis a vis the rest of the Hotel which is mid to low end. If spending c. 45/50 euros on dinner plus alcohol is your thing then go for it. For us we found lots of good food elsewhere for less. (We are aware that ski resorts are not cheap!)

Spent 5 nights here with my daughter on her first skiing holiday. It's nice cosy hotel with good food run by a nice couple. It's near to everything you need and near to the main lift station and bus station. I would definitely recommend for a family holiday.

There were six of us staying in a family room. Pretty basic with not much space, typical of a ski resort hotel room. The evening meal each night was superb. The service was excellent. Breakfast was varied, my only minor criticism is that they don't put out the food in any real logical pattern. The hotel is in a very convenient location. Very close to town centre, ski hire and the Super Chatel cable car; all with in 3 minutes walk. I would stay here again if I return to Chatel.

Nice place to stay in a good location for skiing in Chatel. A relatively short walk away from the Super Chatel lift. The restaurant is very good. Our room was very, very small, but it had a balcony which was nice. In a nutshell: basic but comfortable and in a good location.

Pleasent stay, however, being judged during your holidays on my values by owners of hotels and getting insulted is not their mission. As client,we work a lot to get there and pay a lot, and we appreciate service what we paid and worked for

Medium sized hotel, seems family run. Rooms smallish but well maintained and nicely decorated. Bathroom small but seemed quite newly refurbished. All chalet style, with pine paneling etc. when we arrived they had a few rooms free and the owner allowed us to look at them all and choose-nice touch. Hotel has a restaurant open to the public, so asks half board guests to be seated by 7:30pm to allow them to pick up the 9pm trade. Wasn't a problem for us. Food was great. Half board menus was 3 course fixed, but they were happy to swap anything you didn't like. Good wine list. Hotel is tall and narrow and there's no lift, so you need to be OK with stairs. On the last day (mid-week) the owner came over at breakfast and offered to let us keep our rooms all day (for free) so we could shower after skiing. Very unusual. Hotel is 5mins walk to the Super Chatel lift. We hired our skis from Charles Sports, which is half way between to hotel and lift, and allows you to leave your kit there (although the hotel has a boot room). Charles Sport was very friendly and I'd recommend them too.
