Very cosy, charming and clean family hotel. Bertrand, Elodie and Amandine are very friendly and helpfull. There 3-course diner was very nice and they gave you always an alternative when you do not eat it like something. There is a skilift next top the hotel and green busrides every 20 minutes to the skilifts in Chatel, Lingo and Pierre Longue. I would stay here again!

I have stayed at this wonderful hotel for the past 4 years. Ski shop outside, ski out, free bus back, amazing food and all you can eat for breakfast. Family run and very friendly. Will be back in 2020

Wonderful views from our room. Great location next to the ski lift. The half board option was a good choice. They used fresh ingredients and were imaginative with their menu. Staying honest to the mountain but more exciting than you usually get. The Bar was a great place to sit and read or have a coffee or a drink. We had a coffee during the day when the sun was shining and we got back early from walking in the area.

We booked our half term with this hotel as we were unable to use a previous chalet. I thought the rate for room and half board was competively prcied and the idea of having a bar, spa and pool was great news for my teenagers. We were not disappointed Bertron and his wife made us feel very welcome . Although we could not get access to the room until 4pm it was handy to be able to eat and relax in the bar area. The rooms were very clean and well maintained and we had wonderful views over Chatel. I was a little anxious about only being offered a ser menu but should not have worried as the food was lovely. Breakfast was all you could eat and the dinner featured local dishes and if my children did not want the meal then pizza or pasta was available. The hotel is also within walking distance to a chair lift and from the top you are able to follow red or blue routes around to Chatel and all areas. In the evening the bar was bust with both locals and other chalet owners and one evening a band also sang for a few hours which was a nice change. We would highly recommend a visit to this hotel and hope to return next year.…

Friendly staff and comfortable rooms where they took care to furnish e.g. the bathrooms in a modern/contemporary way while keeping a trad. touch in the bedroom. However due to the fact that it is a chalet with wooden walls, you can hear any noise taking place in other rooms so if you are unlucky to have somebody snoring in the room next to you, you risk not to sleep at all. So better bring ear plugs (but even then, you can hear it due to the vibrations). So if you have no races and noise doesn't cause you any trouble, this is a nice place.

Brilliant for all the best reasons, helpful, friendly staff, great food, comfortable rooms and the ski hire is next door! Bus stops right outside for a short ride to the bigger lifts, although there is a small one outside the hotel. Really recommend this hotel, came here last year, will be back next year!

Returned today from Arc en Ciel after a lovely 4 day break, excellent location for those who ski, perfect walk to the nearest village with a free bus there and back, good honest food service with a smile at this family run hotel

We have just stayed at Arc en ciel over Easter and had a great trip. To us it was a typical French hotel with a lot of French guests and a few English. The hotel was nice and clean, the food was really good and if you made an effort with the staff then they were very friendly. We would certinately recommend this hotel and we were really disappointed to see disparaging comments from the past which we think are unfounded

Have never stayed in the hotel but often visit here when in chatel for drinks & the occasional meal, the bar has had a serious overhaul since I first started going to chatel & it looks amazing. The staff are always helpful & the bar is excellent good beers, lovely rum cocktails are a must & often has the football on which is plus.

Arc en Ciel boasts 'simple' rooms, and this is true, but they have everything you need, and are very clean, cosy and relaxing. Gorgeous views, ample facilities, friendly staff, gorgeous food and ideally situated for easy access up to the slopes. Only disappointment was that it said half board would include a 4 course meal when infact it was only 3. Chatel is a little too far to walk in ski boots but the free bus comes every 20 mins which is excellent. Chatel itself has some lovely shops, bars, restaurants and is very authentic and pretty, and bigger than I expected. The atmosphere is very nice in the village, and in the hotel. The slopes are ample for a weekend, and for only an extra 10 euros or so you can venture right across the portes du soleil which is massive. Highly recommend the hotel, simple but ample, and very pretty.…
