As previously described in many entries this is definitely not a 5 Star hotel. The rooms are tired and there is a lack of general service. For 5 star accommodation you would expect something to keep you in the hotel in the evening but sadly this is lacking. The reception staff are very poor and I include the manager in...

first of all we read the reviews and they were right. This is not a 5 Star Hotel, but this is not the main problem. The Hotel is really far away from any restaurant. The next village is not Platanias as advertised but Maleme. There is not much to do nearby. The personal at the reception is not friendly and...

The last 5 star hotel we stayed in was the Hotel Arts, Barcelona and this hotel is definitely not up to that standard, however, it is a well appointed, well positioned hotel. The hotel is currently full and there were issues when we first checked in requiring us to stay in an adjacent property for a couple of nights. This...

This is a nice hotel on a quiet location, foods good, friendly staff, you can catch a bus to the local town for 2 euros or to Chania for 3 euros, there are a lot of restaurants nearby too. The beach is a pebble one, but it's right in front of the hotel.

I've just returned from a 2 centre holiday, this was the first hotel. It was not an auspicious start - we'd booked a twin room and were taken to a double which we refused. The reception staff were most unhelpful telling us the hotel was very full, there were no twins available plus a number of other excuses until eventually,...

We came to this hotel looking for a comfortable hotel by the sea and far from the crowds...we got that and not more! The room was spacious but badly furnished, the bathroom was old fashioned and small and the built in kitchenette came empty with the exception of two glasses! The hygiene could do with some improvement and at breakfast...

It is, at best, a 4* Hotel a bit old and not very clean. The bar is extremely expensive and a joke... I got a Caipirinha with Fanta lemon. You have lots of mosquitos in the room. Location is okay, but you need a car for everything.

Breakfast wasn't the worse I just had better. Nice big pool with warm water and enough sunbeds for everyone. They also had mini market which was very useful if u didn't wanna...

We had originally booked to stay in the Cretan dream hotel thru low cost holidays and as everybody knows that place went under. 2 weeks before our honeymoon. Panic stations! So my myself and the missus found a lovely looking 5 star hotel called the asterion hotel! This place looks nice and ended up being cheaper than the original place!...
