Very comfortable stay at Lido Star during August ‘20. Staff are absolutely a 10/10. Very kind and helpful personell which always greets you when you come in or leave. Location is the best in the area. Right at the sea and 5-10 minute walk to Faliraki center, but away from the crowdness. Breakfast is very simple (like American breakfast), but decent and included in the price. Would not recommend any room on the 2nd floor as the bathroom is very (very!) small. When we mentioned this to the manager Michael, he immediately upgraded us to a huge triple room built last year with amazing shower. First room was disappointing, second room was beyond expectations. Room itself is simple with basic fridge, TV and airconditioning but no other facilities such as coffee machine, kettle, glasses, plates etc. We personally missed the ability to make some tea or coffee as there is no common coffee machine/kettle to use. Adjacent to the hotel is a restaurant and a sort of beach bar which offers lunch and dinner. There are beds in front of the hotel on the beach which are for rent at €5 per bed for a full day. Only Rhodes city had paid parking so there is free parking throughout all Faliraki, therefore also in front of the hotel which is very nice. Overall, we would recommend staying at Lido Star.

We had a very nice time visiting Faliraki in the beginning of the season: late spring on Rhodos is a bit cold and windy yet the place is very comfy and provides a lot of good sentiments.

The hotel is situated in the small bay and has a gorgeous view on the strait. In a hot days even Turkey mountains are directly visible. Service was good and food was nice yet the hotel was still in an opening state. Rooms are in a good condition and room service cleans up quite often and carefully.

Management was nice to us to let book an additional day when our flight was delayed from the morning to the evening. That was very helpful and we left to the airport without additional stress.

Overall experience is very good especially for the nice place and relatively low price.

Such a beautiful hotel beautiful food beautiful staff. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel very safe stalos and the other staff were very friendly and you could have a laugh with them all. Would highly recommend this place. The views are just breathtaking the sea was warm and the beach crew were also friendly €5 per day per bed. Even a short walk into Faliraki town centre is only 5-10 minutes and again the local people were lovely. Don’t forget your masks when popping into the shops. Day trip to Rhodes again was lovely recommend the water taxi €15 return per person. Overall we are sorry to leave this beautiful relaxing place.

Stayed here for a week and absolutely loved every single day. The rooms were stunning and the glass balcony with views of the sea was amazing to wake up to each morning. The hotel is right on the beach and in a convenient place to get into the town where bars and restaurants are (about a 5-10 minute walk). The breakfast buffet was so good every morning with plenty to chose from and we had dinner in the restaurant a couple nights which was also really good. The staff were all lovely and made our stay even more pleasant. Would definitely come back to stay here again.

So firstly when we got to the reception the lady at reception was helpful and gave us all our rooms. My boyfriend and I booked (and payed extra) for a sea view, yet were places in a room on the first floor looking at the entrance of the hotel. The lady at reception then said we’d be moved to a sea view two days before we were meant to leave. This is not what we expected from actually booking the sea view and we were very disappointed. We had breakfast on the first day and it was nothing special- we had breakfast at the little shack near by every morning after that and was so much better. The hotel breakfast only consisted of pastries a bit of cheese and salami and eggs. However saying that the dinner at the hotel restaurant was lovely and really reasonably priced. The hotel was situated in a nice location out looking the beach and was perfect for what we needed only about a 10 min walk from the town of faliraki. The maids were also lovely and cleaned our room near enough everyday :)

We stayed in Lido Star Hotel for an incredibly cheap price in late September, and have just arrived home. We booked a sea view room (and are so glad we did) and ended up on the third floor. The view from the room was dreamy to say the least, and I loved the electric blinds you could operate from your bed as soon as you wake up. The bathroom was unique and the room was picture-perfect, but it seemed in need of a few fix-ups, e.g. the shower drain was poor and took a long time, and a few parts of the room and bathroom looked like they had seen better days. Honestly though, for the price we paid I would 1 billion percent visit again, and have already raved about this hotel to friends and family back home. The staff were lovely, breakfast everything we could need, the beach is as 'on your doorstep' as it could possibly be and the hotel was furnished to create a real, hidden, Greek treasure. Lido Star Hotel we LOVED you <3

The hotel itself was lovely, however, the staff really let it down. Didn’t feel the customer service was up to the standards of how the hotel was advertised online. Some staff were occasionally quite rude and dismissive. We paid extra for a “luxury” sea view room but were placed in a standard ground floor room for the first night of our holiday due to an overlapping of bookings, so organisation was clearly an issue. However, luckily, we did get our room on the second day, after asking a multiple times is this would be guaranteed. We met some other guests of the hotel who had also paid extra for a sea view room but were placed in one of the ground floor rooms for 3 nights after being promised this would only be temporary for 1 night, so it’s clear this is an ongoing issue! Breakfast was average and dinner was very disappointing considering we paid extra for this also. Very basic selection of food at dinner time and minimal choice of meals.

Where should I begin? When we checked in we got a room on the second floor nr 21. It had terrible view and the room was right in front of the elevator. We went downstairs and asked for a room with a sea view, he said it costs more..okey we know that so he gave us the keys to room number 44. That room was also close to the elevator, we thought the room looked okey but it had a bad smell coming from the drain...we took that and went to the beach, when we came back from the beach the smell had increased, we took a shower and we both noticed a big disgusting chunk of something in one of the corner in the shower. We went downstairs and we were so happy to see a smiley face in the lobby who gave us another room. That room was so much better but still a little bit dirty. That blonde lady in the lobby was so nice, but we can't say the same about the other staff, it's maybe because the manager is arrogant and disrespectful to it's staff. We saw him arguing with his staff a few times during our 6 day stay, he stood there like a "real" boss vaping and screaming. The breakfast was really sad, always the same and they didn't even offered fresh water, only tap water! We would never stay there again, and for the price we paid we could get a much better room elsewhere!

Compared to the hotels photos, the room we had was appalling. It was much smaller and very cramped, with almost no room to put suitcases and to even relax.

I spoke to reception and I was passed onto the owner. He was very blunt and basically told me ‘we take photos of best room for website’ in which there was only a few of these rooms actually in the hotel. Whereas there were quite a lot more of these much smaller, disappointing rooms, that we stayed in.

To start off with about the issues with the room aside from it being nothing like the photos.

• There was no phone in the room which even though it says it should have one on the website, (this isn’t a issue that stands out but why include it if it doesn’t have it).

• The bathroom again was very cramped and consisted of very poor fitting, which is probably the cause of mould/line scale everywhere on the floor around the toilet/shower. I should mention the toilet is literally inside the shower cubicle too.

• The bathroom tap was very loose, felt like i could literally pull it off.

• The sinks plug, didn’t do as it should, the water would drain straight away.

• No safe

• The TV had about 6 channels, all of which were awful Greek soaps, it didn’t even the basics such as the News.

• The bed was very uncomfortable and it consisted of 2 very firm mattresses put together (this was stated on the website, but I didn’t think it would be that awkward and uncomfortable).

• The mini fridge would turn off every now and again and it would cause items inside to defrost/leak water all over the floor.

As for issues outside of our hotel room, the lift was quite unstable, there would be times when it would work or it would jolt quite harshly.

Some staff were rude, the only pleasant ones were one of the waiters, one or two cleaners (the other one just stared all the time and didn’t actually say Hi back which I found was rude), and 2 receptionists (bald male and blonde woman). The owner didn’t even ask how our stay was when we left, he just gave a blunt ‘goodbye’ whilst he kept his head down at his computer.

To conclude, I’d definitely advise staying elsewhere as you can get much better value for money. I’d highly recommend the Aloe Hotel, much more welcoming and much better value for money.

We came out last minute for a long weekend and had the best experience at this hotel.
Our room was 41 on the second floor with sea view, the room was clean, modern and very spacious. The shower had sea views and electric blinds meant we could watch the amazing sunrise from the comfort of our bed which was such a beautiful memorable experience. The staff were all full of smiles and very friendly . Greek night on a Friday with dancing and music in the beach front bar, €2 for a large beer through the day. Only a 10minute walk along the beach to get to bar street and the main centre. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Yes the glass is opaque so you can't see your partner taking part in their ablutions! In fact the glass wall makes the bathroom very light.
