Myself and my patner returned just over a week ago from the Holiday Village Atlantica Hotel. We had a fabulous time, the rooms are modrrn and spacious with all the facilities you could possibly need. The whole hotel and its grounds are kept spotlessly clean, the food is amazing, great choice available. We sampled several of the a la carte restuarants all lovely with fantastic service. The buffet restaurant's staff were fantastc, Adonis & Lefteris always greeted us with a smile and made us feel extra special, great guys, as is all the staff there. The service is brilliant in this hotel , the reception staff, bar staff and the Guest Relations ladies - thank you! Also a big, big thank you to Alba the aerobic instructor who really made my holiday ...I loved the classes ..top notch! Life guards really friendly and chatty - lovely people. Lots to do around the area and easy to jump onto buses to Rhodes Town or Lindos ...Lindos is stunning! We loved out holiday and hope to return. Thanks again for making our holiday extra special ! :) Angela & Bob.x

Best customer service EVER!! We have recently returned from a fortnight in a deluxe swim up with hot tub room at HV Rhodes. Outstanding Customer service- - We must say this first and the main reason for this review is- we had an issue which didn’t bother us too much, however I don’t think we’ve ever had the level of response to resolve it like we did here!! It’s the best customer service response I’ve EVER had!!! - In short, we reported an issue to a member of staff, which was quickly escalated to the manager, customer relations and operations manager. They wanted to meet us face to face and we were blown away they went above and beyond to resolve it. Huge shout out to Nikos who looked after us and went out of his way to make sure we were ok and we’re enjoying our stay. He came to see us a few times after the incident and even had a personal email when we arrived home. - If I’m honest, we probably wouldn’t return to this hotel (only because we generally don’t go back to the same place twice) however due to how we were treated and the kindness and generosity we received, we now most certainly would!! Read on if you want to hear our experience and general info- Transfer takes about 35 mins if you’re lucky to be the first stop on the coach. I’d joined the FB group beforehand so realised I had to ask for the Relax side reception, so didn’t get off at the main reception. Those who had were driven over in a buggy. Room- We loved our room 4303 as the hot tub/balcony got all the sun after approx midday (Sept) until the end of the day. We had no problem with towels on sun beds as we were with a toddler and if we wanted to sun bathe we had our own all afternoon. The deluxe area is gated and has a pool side bar which we just loved swimming across to to get our cocktails and wade back with to our balcony. We did visit the relax swim up bar which was great with in-water stools. (Strong drinks from here!) this area also has a small splash area for young toddlers/babies. Deluxe doesn’t have this but I liked the fact the pools were specially designed with lots of shallow areas. To access the main hotel/activity area/water park you have to walk through an under pass which didn’t bother us at all although something to be mindful of if you have walking difficulties or disabilities. Private Villas- We were lucky enough to get the opportunity to experience a private villa for our last 2 days. Although we felt the layout of these weren’t as practical with a toddler as the swim up rooms, we loved the space, added amenities and private pool. We got daily fresh fruit and evening chocolates each day. We also splashed out on the floating breakfast which could have fed the block! worth the cost for the experience. Both rooms were super clean. We didn’t have a bedside rail the first night for our toddler although we’d emailed in advance but I did get the impression they were in popular demand. So we pushed the single beds together the first night, and the floor underneath was spotless too. We did get one delivered the next day. Eateries- - cosmopolitan- We had access to our own restaurant which serves all meals throughout the day. We loved this as it was a lot quieter, less busy and less walking to the buffet food. However it doesn’t have as much to choose from as main buffet on activity side. Evenings it turns into an a la carte restaurant (not included in activity or relax package unless you upgrade) included in our deluxe package, which we loved as it’s table service with formal menu and drinks served in glasses. Best risotto I’ve ever tasted!!!!!! - Main buffet on activity side was large and spread out. It has a smaller children’s area for little ones and a couple of tables if the children want to eat and watch a film (difficult tho as lots of people walking past to get food and noisy) - It has a good selection of hot and cold choices with different themes each day of the week. We’d rate the food in general as average but nice, as lots were a bit samey. - Only downside I didn’t like was the bar bit. There was a sectioned off part with tables and glasses and refilled wine and water bottles. Initially I just took a wine bottle from the ice bucket to my table with no bother but the second time I was told I couldn’t and I could only have a glass at a time. As it’s a large busy area this was a bit annoying as I had to get up and down to get more. Although maybe I was spoilt by our service in deluxe. - A la carte restaurants- there’s 2 to choose from included in the AI, Italian and American. The American was ok and the Italian was good for Pizzas in our opinion. Only confusing thing was the reception staff seemed to find it difficult to book these, meaning we had to go to reception to ask when our bookings were confirmed, 3 times. Not sure why it’s so hard as most other hotels we’ve stayed in don’t have these problems. We were also under the impression that we could only use the restaurants once. That would mean you get the same allowance for 2 weeks as you would for 1. Not sure if this is true (reception told us this to be true) but to be honest with the difficulty it took us I couldn’t be bothered asking). And I have to say- the staff at these restaurants work endlessly hard!!!! The staff in our deluxe restaurant were brilliant but they were there from breakfast to night all day and saw the same ones pretty much everyday!! Hats off to you all. Water park Our toddler (2 yo) loved the pirate ship with slides. He was even allowed on the medium larger slide with supervision. He’s a large kid who looks 4 and loves big slides so I was relieved he was allowed on. There is 3 other larger slides which are so fast I wouldn’t have let him go down anyway. And then there’s a lazy river which goes around the water park. Has deck chairs not sun beds all around it which were great for us. Lots of lifeguards too overseeing everything. Entertainment - kids clubs- Well initially we were really disappointed to hear that our toddler who turned 3 in 2 weeks after we returned home, couldn’t access the kids club sessions which included the sweet and chocolate parties. They would only allow him in the crèche sessions which most were too babyish for him. After 10 days we booked him into a city session, just to break up the routine and could meet new people. Just a shame he couldn’t meet new people in the beginning in a kids club who were more his mentality. - The day time entertainment was mainly around the activity pool and surrounding grassy patches. The only things about these were they were really short. If you didn’t get to it on time it was over within 10 mins. Such as the superhero character show, dancing etc. I half understand this as the entertainers must be roasting. - There is occasional live music on the relax side but there didn’t seem to be any activity planner for this so had no idea what was on and when. - Evenings- this to be fair is fantastic for kids and adults as it starts from about 7pm and goes on most of the evening (always left about 10:30/11ish and it was still going). It’s back to back entertainment ranging from young ones to adults later on. Hats off to the entertainment staff who DO NOT stop. They appear full of energy and do not stop from beginning to end and are great with kids of all ages. - Alternatives- Pity my little one wasn’t into the evening entertainment as much so lots of our evenings were spent in the playground and in the Star Bar up the road which had an outdoor bouncy castle and pirate ship climbing frame, mini golf and go carts all in one bar. So if we had one recommendation for entertaining toddlers would be a small soft play area with climbing frame. Out and about- - Hire a car. This hotel isn’t on the beach (10 min walking distance to a pebble beach but only go if you want the water sports €20 for a 1hr peddlo) and the village is very small, so hire a car and go see the island. Tsambika beach next door is a huge sandy beach with lovely beach bars and has water sports. (Can’t walk there from the hotel as there’s a mountain in the way). - We couldn’t park in Rhodes old town so didn’t get to experience it but what we saw looked lovely. - Lindos is really busy with tourists and due to the heat we didn’t want to make the climb with our toddler. So we went to Lindos beach and found a tiny sandy spot for our towels (in front of the extensive number of sun beds for €15) to have a little swim (very swallow which was great for toddlers but take swim shoes) and had a bit of lunch. - Petting zoo is a must visit. Even for those without children. - Kallithea springs is also beautiful and also has a classy waterside restaurant. Recommendations - I would recommend this hotel to families with younger children. I think families with older teenagers (15+) would be bored here. I certainly wouldn’t come as a couple without kids unless you’re staying in a villa. - We loved our deluxe swim up room with hot tub so would highly recommend but would have been just as happy in a normal deluxe swim up room as some have steps with bubbles on anyway. However we did love access to the quieter cosmopolitan restaurant. - Cocktails in the Japanese were yummy and included in the AI (one menu was paid for drinks) and they allowed us in with our toddler until 9pm. Also served in a glass. - Take plastic cups/glasses with you. They serve in small paper cups which didn’t bother us as we’re not massive drinkers but everyone has their own cups. Can buy from nearby shops in you don’t wanna carry over. - Take swim shoes if you’re going to the beaches.

Such a wonderful family break. The site is really clean and well maintained across both areas. Wonderful pool areas. We stayed in the deluxe area and staff were so helpful, friendly and professional. So much fun for the children in the activity area. Kids club, Creche staff and entertainment brilliant fun. At the waterpark the lifeguards were also friendly and helpful And the children had an absolute blast. We ate in the deluxe restaurant and the olive restaurant and had great food. My family are very awkward with numerous food allergies; the team could not have been more helpful. Honestly we had such a great time and it was just the break we needed after many years unable to travel! Thank you to all.

Fantastic holiday village. Spacious rooms with 2 showers and bath (relax area room), wonderful food and drinks. Amazing staff a big shout out to you all, we didn’t get all yours names but a big thank you to Mario’s, Georgia (reception) , Maria, Spiros, Anestacia, and Eva (lifeguard) you all made our holiday a perfect one. Shops, bars all within walking distance. Easy bus routes to Rhodes town and Lindos. Bus stops right outside reception, reception have bus timetables too. In the evening if you child free the adult bar (after 9pm) at the Japanese restaurant does amazing cocktails and chill out music by resident DJ. I would definitely recommend this hotel to families and couples and hope to visit in the future.

Dear Karen B, Thank you for choosing the Atlantica Holiday Village Rhodes for your vacation this summer and for the wonderful comments on our staff and their hospitality. It definitely gives a boost to us all and motivates us to keep up the good work! As you may have witnessed the most common customer profile that chooses to spend their holidays here is clearly families with children. Such a nice review from guests that do not fall into this category. We certainly value and appreciate your comments as we work tirelessly to come up with ideas of entertainment for adult guests such as yourselves. We are really happy to know that our efforts are successful! We will be happy to welcome you and your friends again to our resort, should you decide to visit our beautiful island again. And please wear the shirt, so we can spot you from the moment you arrive!! Kind regards to all four of you, Marios K

Just came back and this was one of the best experiences. Spotless in terms of cleanliness, friendly staff, location etc. Special cheers to Maria from the pool bar and Gorgeous Gregorius 👍. The cocktails choice and quality was excellent! No issues with pillows, mattresses etc - all was comfortable and no mosquitoes around :)) We did stay in relax area and that was the best - we found activity area very noisy , the entertainment crew was very professional and working hard so if you are travelling with kids then the activity area would be a good option. We were greeted with a glass of wine on arrival and a couple of sandwiches in the fridge - we were thankful for that at 3 am. We were offered a late check out room but we opted out and spent the last day on a semi private catamaran cruise for the same money. Special thanks to local Tui team. Not so good: many reviews on here are mentioning the food choice and standards of cooking, I have to agree, there is an area for improvement. Unexpectedly low standard. On a bright side, we didn’t put any extra weight on! :)) Not related to the hotel: visiting Lindos was a waste of time and money. Semi private catamaran cruise was an amazing experience :)

Stayed in deluxe balcony room. Good points: Nice clean rooms with great bath and shower. Nice food and plenty of choice. Whole resort very clean and looked after. The Waiters, lifeguards, bar staff and receptionist where very helpful and friendly. Pools nice and clean. Water park great but not open all day. Bad points: Drinks are terrible. The beer is watered down fizzy horrible stuff and every cocktail is made with cheap syrup stuff and really low quality spirits. For the money we paid you expect a nice drink. We gave up after day two as the taste was so bad and we bought from the shop. There is actually no bar in the deluxe area after 6pm, only the restaurant until 9.30 which is not really somewhere to sit and enjoy a few drinks. You have to walk 10 minutes to get a drink from the activity area. The entertainment was ok for under 8s but nothing for older kids or adults. Very poor. No iron in the deluxe room. You have to go into reception then down to the spa with your clothes to use a ten euro rubbish travel iron. They have an Irish bar that plays the same mix tape on repeat every night and no atmosphere at all. If you want a decent drink in there they charge 8 Euro and above. It’s a shame as they have a stage and could put live bands on but choose to very rarely use it. There is very little night life or shops worth visiting close by. To sum it up I would only really go if you have under 8s and not bothered about drinking or having any adult time. Breakfast great but sausages are like cardboard stay well clear. Still enjoyed it but not value for money. No security on any of the main entrance or exits to the the resort so be careful letting little ones explore.

Dear Paul R, Thank you for choosing our resort for your holiday this summer and for sharing your thoughts. While we are happy to read that you relaxed in our rooms and pools and you enjoyed the food quality and variety, we are quite surprised with a few of your non positive comments. Security is on duty every night from 11pm till 7am in all 3 areas of the hotel. They do patrol and are vigilant, hence we have never faced any security issues where guests safety was compromised or they were in a vulnerable place. Only a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel, loads of shops, bars, restaurants and even kids playground areas are available in Kolympia town center. Within the island we are also ideally located in between Rhodes city and Lindos town. Irons are not available in any room, not just in Deluxe area where you stayed. The safety of children is a priority and therefore the service is alternatively offered in the ironing rooms. Finally we regret to read you did not enjoy the drinks and we will review their quality. Also, our Gastro Bar Paaru operates from 9pm onwards as an adults only bar and it is a real pity if you missed out on that. Your feedback regarding the entertainment will be communicated with TUI animators team for a review. Kind regards, Marios K
