We stayed here one night while visiting Montalcino. It is high in the hills and is a producing vineyard. Our guest room was immaculate and very comfortable. Wifi and breakfast were great benefits. We ate dinner nearby in the small village of San Angelo and it was lovely. Be sure to inquire about a tasting and tour. We were lucky...

Le Ragnaie is a high quality Brunello di Montalcino producer a short distance from town. The agriturismo inn is low key but nice - beautiful views of the vineyards and Val d'Orcia. Nice swimming pool with a view, lovely modern/rustic common spaces (outdoor and indoor). The owner is both the winemaker and the innkeeper - very hands on. Breakfast is...

We were in Italy for 3 weeks and stayed along the length and breadth of the country. Undoubtedly though, Le Ragnaie was one of our best picks. Our one bedroom apartment was spectacular - clean as a whistle, bright, spacious, with a lovely balcony from where the sunsets were simply sublime.. Breakfast was a welcome change from most B&Bs in...

The complex is in the middle of vineyards and is a working farm. We had a good large bedroom. There is a pool and wifi. Good breakfast. There are plenry of good places to eat around if you keep your eyes open, or ask the staff. We did not care much for the town of Montalcino and we were delighted...

Very scenic winery and lodging. Breakfast ample, typical Italian. Very spacious accommodations, bathrooms US-standard with fabulous views of vineyards and miles of Tuscan vistas right from your window. English-speaking staff. Winery on site. Centrally located 2 miles from center of Montalcino, close to walking and bike paths. Great launching point to enjoy Tuscany, the many wineries of Montalcino and the...

We spent one night at the Le Ragnaie during our recent trip to Italy. It is located a short drive from Montalcino among the vineyards and they were just starting their harvest when we arrived. Our room was spacious and clean. The continental breakfast the following morning more than met our needs I would recommend the Le Ragnaie if you...

A wonderful place to stay in Montalcino. Well situated, great hiking, biking and winery touring. The staff is good humoured and very accommodating. Twice a week they offer dinner, but we did not partake. Close to many amazing restaurants.

We stayed at Le Ragnaie for three nights, a great base location in Tuscany. A beautiful place with amazing wine. They serve dinner a couple nights a week so you have to make sure to eat there one of the nights. Spacious apartment like rooms, with a kitchenette attached in case you want to cook your own meal. There is...

First time in my life I actually drove to a place and asked for a room, thanks Google! Affordable price and much nicer and more modern than the dumpy city-center "hotels" in Montilchino. Manger was nice, farm is beautiful, breakfast was decent. Town was five minute drive to the public parking lot. You're sacrificing nothing by staying outside of town,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled atop the hills of Tuscany alongside the historical village of Montalcino one can find Le Ragnaie. Located in the midst of the Brunello wine region Le Ragnaie has a rich history dating back to the 1700’s when early settlers were using the land to hunt and plant crops. The use of such materials as terra cotta, large cut stones and massive wooden beams along with the tasteful decoration of local antiques, helps to retain the rustic charm of days past. ... more   less
