We reserved a room for two nights. We got there at 3pm for a 3:30 check in. We were greeted by the maid who was very pleasant and helpful and checked us in early since the normal person wasn't there yet. I asked her if...More
This was our first impression of Tuscany. We were shocked at the low price for such a beautiful large accommodation which included a kitchen. The hostess was gracious and welcoming, and we enjoyed the Italian breakfast which included lots of fresh fruit. The beds were...More
very good position, in a hilly and peaceful landscape, near the beautiful historical town of Montalcino. The apartment was very well furbished, spacious, with king size double bed and very big sofa-bed. Spacious bathroom. Everything was perfectly clean. Mosquito nets at the windows, no insects...More
Based on a friend's recommendation we chose to stay here. Since its away from Montalcino, having your own car/transport is recommended. The place is very peaceful & away from the city noise/traffic - a welcome break for us after Rome, Venice & Florence ...

THe average guest spends most of the peak hours of the day out and about and not in their room. I can imagine that time may be unbearable without AC if that's what you are used to. But the evenings are nice. Take a shower, turn the fan in the room on and open the windows (some of their windows have screens preventing insects from coming in) and you will be comfortable. We were. And besides, you are staying on a farm in Tuscany ... It's part of the experience.
