What a perfect stay! We arrived quite late with no reservation and were warmly welcomed. The good impression just got better and better during the stay. The house is beautiful with most interesting family history in the photos on the walls. The furnishings and facilities are excellent, the information provided about the area is very useful and the meals and...

Our host was Brian and he really made us feel at home. He grows his own flowers and veggies and does amazing breakfasts with added touches of fresh flowers. Rooms are huge, super clean and have all the amenities you could want for a B & B. He has a lovely sun room overlooking the river which we enjoyed using...

We have stayed in several B&B during this trip across Ireland and the UK and the Carbre House is unquestionably the best of all. The house itself is beautiful and very well taken care of. Its old style and features are mantained fully but it has been restored to have modern conforts. One can see everywhere little details proving how...

My breakfast was so beautifully presented, decorated with edible flowers from the garden that I took a photograph of it. It tasted even better than it looked! My bed was very comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. The...

Recently I had the opportunity of a one day business trip to Dungarvan and was looking for something different from the usual hotels. Well did I hit the jackpot when I googled across Cairbre House. A lovely old house with loads of history and the comforts you would need and only a short walk to the town itself for dinner....

This is a small guest house perched beside the Colligan River with fine views across the estuary and the Comerach hills behind. There are two pretty gardens full of flowers and vegetables and a conservatory on the river edge. Brian Wickham is a great host, you will receive a warm welcome, offers of tea and coffee and cakes, copious maps...

This is a period house which has charm and modern amenities. We arrived to this beautiful house and Katriona met us. We had coffee (real genuine coffee!) and biscuits and a chat in the guest lounge. Although there is tea/coffee facilities in the room, it was a lovely touch to have a welcome cuppa. Room was spotless, comfortable mattress and...
