Whilst we were enquiring about evening meal, even though we hadn't booked, four more travellers turned up and asked the same question. We said sandwiches...

Castle country house is slightly hard to find but once you get there the warm welcome from Joan makes up for it. Our room was at the front of the house which had lovely views out over the gardens, it was very clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable, the best nights sleep ever!! Breakfast was delicious from Joans own...

Joan and Emmet define the meaning of “Congenial Hosts”. The B&B is hard to find and we got hopelessly lost, but were lucky enough to see a motorcycle Policeman filling his bike at a Service station and asked him. There was no way he could direct us, as we were miles away, so he lead us all the way to...

My wife and I visited Ireland for 19 days in early May 2007 and, thanks to Trip Advisor, stayed in many good to great B&B's throughout the country but our stay with Joan and her family was...

The Castle Country House bed and breakfast accommodation is the restored wing of a sixteenth century castle. Located just outside Dungarvan at Millstreet, County Waterford, it is bounded to the south by the lush pasture lands of the Blackwater Valley, and to the north by the rugged beauty of the Nire Valley. Joan and Emmet have owned and run this...

“We stayed in the superior double room, which is the oldest part of the building (with the original 3 foot thick castle walls). It is on the front of the house and is also the most private room and furthest up the stairs. That said, I am sure the rooms are all lovely.”
