The hotel has had a nice facelift since we last visited it before the pandemic. Very nice toilets, comfortable beds and the breakfast satisfying. We visited the hotel for the third time, going to the world championship for young dressage horses in Ermelo, as a big group with 36 persons from Sweden and felt very well taken care of. The hotel arranged the welcome dinner and it tasted really good, with a dessert to die for! Coming back from the competition late Saturday night the hotel again served us a nice dinner. Staff really interested to please and service minded.

Great stay, room was okay. I ´ve stayed at groundfloor and it was okay. Fridge at the room. Thin walls, so you can hear practically everything :D
Amazing view from the room. Close to the city square and lake. Parking is near the main door.
I recommend it

We had smoked paling - eel. It was delicious, delicate but tasty. The service was excellent and the view over the water magnificent. And, rarely for much of Netherlands, it takes Visa. I'm sure it would be a very pleasant place to stay.

When checking in I have to pay 5.10 euros more than the confirmation from Booking.com, the reception lady gives me another insult feeling like you never slept in a hotel.
The rotten room is very small with old fashioned sink and shower, you can hear noise from restaurant bar downstairs all night.
Breakfast is limited with very few choices, for the drink you have to ask the waitress constantly.

Have had many poor hotel rooms..thus experience ranks among the worst. Given room that wrapped around the elevator and with another common wall w stairs…did I say noisy. Was refused substitute room. Handicapped shower had no way to contain water, w normal shower time, water escaped to bedroom. Because w group could not easily go to another hotel. On 2nd day, returned to room to find nite stands missing, replaced by a single stool.

After a lovely morning at the dolfinarium we started looking for a lunch spot and were lucky to find Monopole. Food was delicious, service very friendly and easy going . The best part was the awesome view to the sea shore and the promenade. Very recommended !

We had dinner in the restaurant and as it was asparagus time, we ordered an asparagus dish. Nice food, nothing special but certainly adequate. The hotel room was basic, with a small window overlooking the lake. A rather soft mattress on the bed, not quite my taste. The room and the bathroom were clean and it was possible to make coffee and/or tea. This is something I always appreciate! Staff in the hotel and the restaurant were very friendly.

I arrived here late afternoon after some mishaps on the way, not really knowing what to expect with the hotel or the town, and what a surprise! A beachside setting with sunset over the water. I could almost have believed I was in Western Australia with uninterrupted ocean all the way to Africa, even though Harderwijk is almost exactly the geographic centre of the Netherlands!

After settling into my delightful room facing the water I went for dinner at the restaurant downstairs. It's large and well laid out with nice indoor and outdoor areas. The best bouillabaisse soup I've ever had plus a fine Trappist ale made sure my earlier travel hassles were well and truly forgotten.

I really enjoyed staying here and can't think of anything bad to say about the place.

The hotel is right on the sea front so there is a good view from the ground floor cafe. Rooms are small but comfortable enough. We were disappointed with the 'restaurant' which was just a big souless cafe, so we ate dinner out in a nice local restaurant. Breakfast was OK, nice to have fresh orange juice.
