This lovely hotel is full of charm and history. We spent a lovely couple of comfy nights here. On the first evening we ate in the restaurant and enjoyed a very nice meal and drinks. Breakfast was included and with lots to choose from. A very cosy hotel.

A last minute booking and what a find. A small boutique hotel with excellent food. The room was quite quirky but so thoughtfully planned and equipped. The evening meal was delicious, a blend of flavours and lovely choice on the menu. It was really good not to have massive overfacing portions. Breakfast was also very good. Also, they were very...

Cannot thank Chris and Zoe enough. We were coming up to Derbyshire for a wedding and decided to make a long weekend of it. I remembered visiting Matlock Bath as a child and how pretty it was, so we decided to base ourselves here. Found Hodkinson's online and from the photos on the website had an inkling the place would...

We had dinner on the first night and the food was amazing. Good quality ingredients cooked perfectly. There is a...

The most comfortable and welcoming hotel I have stayed in for many years. Superb decor, small, intimate, immaculately clean. Central to Matlock, the Peak District and North Derbyshire. The owners and staff are dedicated to ensuring that all customers feel welcome, cared for and ensuring a happy stay for all.
