We chose to stay here as we were in the area for a wedding. The hotel was very convenient and above all very clean. Our rooms, however were very very small, and the bed in our rooms, although they were double were very small. One room didnt even have a wardrobe. Breakfast was very simple but the food was of...

We stayed here for one night in the Family Room with our 6 and 3 year old. The room was beautiful and spotless. Smelt lovely and clean. There was a King Size bed and two single beds for the kids. There was a bath with over bath shower. Free shower caps, shampoos, lotions, shower gel and more than enough towels....

We stayed here 2 years ago & we have revisited this weekend, just arrived back after spending a night at High Tor in the Honeymoon Suite, for our 17 year Wedding Anniversary. Really nice big room, very comfy bed, very quiet.... slept very well, nice large bath, staff very helpful & talkative. Great location just right for a weekend away....

Loverly hotel, great staff, excellent food, highly recommended. Stopped 3 nights with a friend and our two kids who the staff were great with. We didn't have breakfast as we were out early in the morning but we're back for our tea, which was really nice. Bathroom was really modern and shower was really powerful ☺. Towels are all good...

I was unsure what to expect having reviewed some of the comments on trip advisor but I would recommend this hotel to others. The bedroom was like a mini suite. It had a circular king sized bed, a leather sofa, a large TV and an enormous square bath. The shower was excellent too. The staff were very accommodating, providing fresh...

We stayed at the High Tor for two nights, had breakfast both mornings and dinner in the restaurant one night. There was nothing paticularly wrong about the stay, and nothing to complain about. However we were left with the feeling that the hotel was trying to be something it was not. Charging over £100 a night you would expect something...

The welcome we received was great. Room very clean and comfortable, we booked a luxury double. Not sure about luxury, but was v nice. We ate in the restaurant. Food was ok, not to the standard we expected. Great location and all together good value. We'd stay here again.

This is a newly renovated hotel set in a beautiful location between Matlock and Matlock Bath. Bar, restaurant, breakfast room and bedrooms all very comfortable. I did find it a little strange that there were only three coat hangers in the wardrobe for two people yet five hooks on back of bathroom door...however, that is not a complaint, just a...
