Booked this hotel for a overnight whilst attending the NEC The whole place is like a time warp, it reminded me of visiting my favourite aunties house in the 1970s!! Pink bathroom suite etc etc Needs a massive update Would not visit again

We visit the area often when visiting family. Of all the hotels in the area, this must be the best. Nice gardens, fields either side, nice friendly staff on reception and the restaurant staff. Booked again for 1st October

It's like something from the 70s. Rooms dark and dreary. Bathroom suites belong in a museum. Breakfast appalling. Very little choice and whole thing seems like the cheapest quality was used. Service surly. Don't go there - it's overpriced too.

Stayed there on 31st of July as a friend was having his daughters christening. The rooms are a bit dated but that was to be expected as I went through trip advisor and a lot of people said so. My real only gripe is the fact is that it was meant to be a buffet breakfast only to be told...

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch at Grimstocks recently. From being welcomed by the Owner to the delicious food, everything was superb. We had two courses and couldn't eat anymore as we were so full! The staff are very courteous and friendly and the setting is beautiful. You could even have coffee in the garden if the weather is good....

The Grimstock is not some flashy corporate 'I could be anywhere' place to stay. It has character, the rooms are not particularly up to date but they are fine and comfortable and the staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. If you prefer a faceless Hilton it is probably not for you but I have been here many times for a...

The grounds are beautiful, lulling you into a false sense of security.... Once inside you can see how dated the building is. Not in a quaint, full of character manner, more of a cross between an old people's home and a 1980s hotel abroad that hasn't been updated since then. My room was on the ground floor - some blinds/voile...

The outside of the hotel looks welcoming, the grounds peacful, resteraunt well laid out. BUT the rooms are outdated & are in diar need of a makeover. The room was noisy, from outside noise and there was a constant noise which to describe it was either like flushing the loo & filling up or turning a hair dryer on and...

This hotel is in a lovely location, very serene and peaceful grounds surrounding the premises. Reception staff were very professional and polite including the staff taking the food order for evening dinner mostly, although some were abrupt and borderline rude which was surprising.I allowed it to pass the first instance, then when it happened again I had to take the person to task,...

Was invited to a Christening. I was looking at booking somewhere for a party for myself- but would not go back here, the welcoming was warm and the room and gardens are beautiful but I do not appreciate being spoken to rudely and abruptly from serving staff- some manners and it would have been a lovely day.

Thank Joanne F
