Staying in Park House in Lairg is a very good experience. We are four ladies travelling Scotland togehter and we made Lairg our base. The house itself has a high standard with big and very bright rooms, clean and homely. The hosts, Margaret and David Walker, did the extra that made our stay memorable. The breakfast was excellent, homemade with...

This is an elegant old house and home where we found the owners polite and attentive with the typical Scottish reserve. Our room was comfortable and we enjoyed a beautifully cooked breakfast next morning. My only adverse comment is about the faint smell of tobacco in the public areas.

We stayed 1 night at this place and although the room was nice the man of the house was not at all welcoming and I can only describe him as miserable. This was very off putting as we were not made to feel welcome and couldn't wait to leave the next day. I would not recommend or stay there again.

Great location from which to explore the region. The Park House has easy access to good loch fishing with boatsd for hire.Excellent large clean rooms with good views. Hearty breakfasts. Most welcoming proprietors in Margaret and David who made my German friend and I feel very much welcome.

Lovely room, lovely view. Not very welcoming owner, we felt we were a nuisance. Inflexible on breakfast times, average food.
