We chose Ty Mawr Mansion for a special anniversary weekend away as we could only find good reviews on it - we were not disappointed! The owners Martin & Catherine were very friendly and welcoming, the food was amazing, and our room was lovely and comfortable with the best bath ever (huge circular spa bath)! We had a really special...

With all the problems with airline strikes and volcanic ash almost putting a stop to our first holiday this year, my husband and I decided to stay in the UK for our second break. We chose Wales as our destination after reading The Times article on Ty Mawr and checking Tripadvisor reviews. From the moment I called Ty Mawr to...

My partner and I stayed here for our anniversary with our 5 month old son. I can thoroughly recommend Ty Mawr for a relaxing break. The setting of the hotel is idyllic and ideally located for visiting the coast. Possibly the best cooked breakfast I've ever tasted. The service was warm and friendly - Martin McAlpine was the perfect host,...

From arrival to departure you're assured of relaxed attentive service in the most delightful surroundings. The Matthew Rhys suite, was just sublime - go on treat yourself. As to the food ...............all we can say is local, fresh and faultlessly prepared.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted in the car park by a smiling Martin who insisted on carrying our luggage. The Hotel is beautiful. We had booked a double room for my wife and my 15 year old daughter Holly. To our amazement, Martin offered the room next door free of charge to my daughter. It included its...
