My daughter, daughter in-law and I spent 7 days at this wonderful remote location in the middle of the Amazon rain forest. The accommodations were basic but very clean and comfortable. The guides went out of their way to identify wildlife, trees, flowers and every other aspect of the Amazon jungle. We saw a cobra on our first hike!!! We...

Dear Daphne, we can say you are LUCKY! The annual capture of the pink river dolphins by the researchers is a great opportunity to understand how we are working to develop conservation strategies of this species in the Amazon. Thanks for the kind works and hope we can see you during the flood season ;-) All the best!

The Amazon jungle. Just hearing those words sends shivers down my spin. My imagination runs wild with all the adventures I could have in this lush, tropical, paradise. Like so many, it had always been a dream of mine to travel to this magnificent part of the world and get lost under the canopy amongst the gigantic leafs and mosquitos....

My adult daughter and I stayed three nights here. We had a great experience with wildlife viewing. The water was low when we visited in late September- and this was extra good for bird watching. The lodge is located in the Mamiraua Reserve. Wildlife is protected here, and local villagers are involved in multiple projects and employed by the lodge....

We thank you for your considerations - we are aware of the heat in the rooms during some few times of the year. Investments in solar energy are being done acording to our budget - unfortunately the brazilian government does not incentive investments in clean energy and these equipment are crazy expensive over here. The good news is that within...

The staff and guides are just one amazing aspect - excellent they are are, and only eclipsed by the wonderful, almost totally pristine, flooded forest that the lodge is set in. Our guides did an amazing job of showing us the specialist wildlife that we had come to see - and photograph. Manoel, Almir, a million thanks to you both!...

This place if phenomenal. Amazing staff, amazing guides, amazing wildlife, wonderful food, well planned tours, and in the entire week I spent there, I experienced such a wonderful time. Go there, if you are thinking about it. The reviews are all so suportive for a reason. Even though its expensive, it represents great value for money.

Although I was apprehensive about the long trip into the Amazon forest with my daughter, the lodge staff made me feel very comfortable by meeting us at the Tefe airport even after a 4 hour flight delay from Manaus. From that point they took care of everything. I agree with all of the compliments and rave reviews by others in...

Not easy to get there - fortunately, as otherwise it would be crowded, as it's just to perfect. Not comfortable lodging - but the people there try to make it as could as it can get; so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Not your idea of gourmet cuisine - but inventive and full of unknown delicacies. Bottomline: Come here if you...

Mamiraua is truly one of the most stunning places I've ever visited. The wildlife is thriving and the enthusiasm shared by the guides was contagious. I experienced many memorable boat trips, from venturing through reeds to reach the open waters inhabited by boto and tucuxi dolphins to sunrise symphonies of howler monkeys and a night time motor boat trip, passing...

5 out of 5 stars - or, after seeing last night's unforgettable canopy, we should say Many out of Many Stars! So much to report: the serenity of yesterday's lake picnic and sunset (my son has already declared he wishes his ashes scattered there...); the morning's pirañha fishing – especially the magnetism of Shiquim's rod! – and the soup afterwards;...
