2 hours from Quito airport, a fully operational ranch with dairy cattle; commercial cheese production; large organic garden; horses for riding; condor preservation; mountain bikes; well-marked hiking trails; TV room with good movie library... Truly a homey feel with the familial past and current management, and delicious and ample meals cooked to order. Fabulous relaxing base - we stayed 2... More

This hacienda was built in the 18th century. It belonged to one of Ecuador´s most prominent president, Galo PLaza. The hacienda´s house is kept just as his family did. You feel very much at home. You can have tea or coffee, chocolates and soft drinks as many times as you want when in the living rooms. Outside the dining room... More

The hacienda provided much more than just a place to stay. The rooms were lovely and comfortable with vases of fresh roses at every turn. The food was delicious and featured the cheeses made at the hacienda in authentic Andean cuisine. I had not expected to also find gentle horse rides on the slopes and wild condors soaring overhead, and... More

We spent three nights at this family owned working farm, after visiting the Galapagos islands. This is perfect to relax after a week of busy schedules on the cruise. We were in Magarita's room which has a great view and wonderful private patio. There is a wood burning fireplace that keeps us warm at night. The hospitality and services from... More

My girlfriend and I were looking to have a small trip to an hacienda in Ecuador, and specifically experience milking a cow. This place surpassed all of our expectations. First, getting to the hacienda is relatively easy, and it's worth mentioning since the views are breathtaking. Once at the hacienda, we were greeted by our guide who was a local,... More

  • A comfortable triple room (the boys' larger side with a patio is too messy to photograph!)
