The location of the hotel is very good, near the jetty for island hopping. And it is very near to all the restaurants in a shopping complex. The rooms need refurbishment but generally comfortable to stay after your day activities. The breakfast spreads are actually quite good and we enjoyed it.

We checked in at the main wing. Good hotel for stop by before going to Sipadan. The room quite old but well functions. There is a coffeeshop server good breakfast. Staff are helpful and good transfer to Tawau airport.

We stayed a night in this hotel, transiting to Kapalai Resort. This hotel, I presume that it used to be in its glory 10-20 years ago, however, it has not been maintained much. The room we had was past its prime and had a musty smell. I wore my slippers, the carpet was quite dusty and dirty and lights were dim. Breakfast was so-so. However, there were interesting view outside the windows, we could catch the busy activities of the fishermen (and boys) sorting out fishes that they caught early in the mornings.

Horrible old hotel, extremely lack of maintenance, dark and creepy corridor like horror movie. I think the only reason it is still running is they are right next to the jetty pick up spot. Very dirty and stain everywhere, including bedsheets and towels. We didn't even want to touch anything, just stayed one night and left for island hopping.

Stayed 7 days in Semporna in 3 didferent resorts including Seafest Hotel. Pricing wise, it is way much affordable than other resort with similar facilities. They provide free breakfast and the hotel is equipped with gym and swimming pool and kids would definitely love it! Seafest is the most decent hotel in Semporna with hot water that works, clean spacious room with coffee making facilities, safe deposit box & fridge. We stayed in family room facing the jetty and my husband enjoy watching the fisherman unloading tons of fishes from the boat every morning. However you can smell the fish if you’re at the pool but that’s not so bad given the fact that there’s market nearby as well. The hotel is also strategically located so if you plan on island hopping it would be very convenient. Lots of seafood restaurants with affordable price and cafes nearby including Starbucks, Secret Recipe, Tealive. If you want to try the local food, Semporna town is just 5 mins drive and if you prefer it is also walking distance. Definitely choice of stay for my upcoming trip.…

Checked in twice within a month. Thanks to staff. They attended to any queires promptly. Heard ther were bugs from other comments but good to say bugs were gone during my stays. room relatively big for two person and price are reasonable.it comes with free breakfast. Brekafast spread resonable.

When approaching Seafest Hotel the suggestion of a 4/5 star hotel is raised. But finally inside the interior, especially the corridors and rooms, look outdated. Nevertheless the services are generally okay, the breakfast is extensive, mainly focussed on Asian/Chines guests, but enough choice if you like a "Western" style breakfast. The swimmingpool on the third is enclosed by walls so if you are claustofobic.... The hotel is situated near a small shopping mall with supermarket and Chinese run restaurant. The jetties to the many islands are all closeby.

spend several nights there, on good rate, at February they just finished with new part opposite side-so our rooms have been brand new. Not perfect so, as partly place was not finished, but compared to other places in Semporna this is splendid - breakfast was always good and excellent as buffet. We got broken and too old used towels, the bathroom was not completed, but in Sabah this is still the standard, so no worries, if everything else is fine.... If we ever go back there to Semporna we will choose this hotel

We stayed here for three nights. The rooms are quite spacious and the bathroom was clean. However, although the hotel looks new from the outside it is rather tired-looking inside and the decoration is rather old-fashioned and drab. The breakfast buffet was ok with a good fresh fruit selection. However most of the other offerings leaned towards Asian tastes. The swimming pool is on the third floor and has a concrete wall around it so it feels very enclosed and certainly not somewhere you'd want to spend the whole day. The gym was ok but the machines are old. The staff were friendly enough at check-in. However, when we discovered the travel agent, who has an office in the hotel lobby, was not there, they couldn't help us to track him down. Apparently they couldn't make an external call to find him which I found very strange and they didn't offer any other solution. Overall the hotel met our basic requirements but was nothing special.…

Knowing it's an old hotel, so didn't have much expectation for it. The room was clean, the adults pool seems cleaner than kid's pool but my daughter enjoyed it nonetheless. The buffet breakfast was good. Very near to the jetty so it's a great place for tourists who just returned from their island trips. There are restaurants nearby but food served quite slowly. Please be prepared to wait.
