Pro Sea view and can see sunrise from balcony. Staff helpful and accommodating. Lots of eating places, supermarkets, pharmacy, fruiterer, all within walking distance. Con Sliding door frame came apart while trying to get to room balcony. Offered a room change to another whereby the sink is blocked n the air con is not cold enough even on the lowest setting. Asked for a room change and they obliged. All 3 rooms do not have the same amenities, in 1 room only 1 set of towels for 2 people, in another, no bath mat, and in the last room, no rack to place luggage and no hangers. Noisy as rooms are above restaurants. Saw a rat outside balcony before sunrise. 1 channel on tv.

Booked this Inn2 because I couldn’t see any commitments on Sipadan Inn 3 or 1. It was okay for overnight. The first time I stayed there, it was a normal small room with window facing the street. However, when I checked in again a week later I got a room in the middle without window, even though I booked the same queen room. The location is not great, Inn 3 and 1 are at better spots in the small seafront town, easier to reach than Inn 2. Among the three, Inn 3 is the newest and, after a visit, I noticed it has better rooms with better facilities. Had WiFi in room at Inn 2, the bed was very basic and sheets not crispy clean, the shower was okay as well as the air conditioning. Semporna is a tiny town with most places within walking distance, though the narrow, car-lined streets are not that clean or tidy to walk through, especially if you carry luggage. From what I heard from other travelers, very basic facilities wherever you stay, so lower your expectations then probably all good.

A rather normal hotel with above average rates. The location is convenient for nearby food, Giant for groceries, Watsons/Guardian beauty stores and pharmacy. It is also a 5 minute walk to the public jetty. The room is rather basic and small. There is no elevator so lugging your dive gear or heavy luggage is a must unless you’re in the ground floor rooms. Bathroom water pressure was good but the hotel needs a refurb. The bathroom was wet and not very clean. Sheets were thin and stained. Air conditioning was ok. We will look for other alternatives in future. It used to be good when new but it’s now not worth it given the high price and old facilities.

Was there for a night before my departure for dive next morning. Location is good as it is near jetty. But pretty noisy as the eateries are just downstairs. Also there seems to have water supply issues as water supply to bath room only restored at 10pm.

Semporna is not the nicest city in Malaysia neither the cleanest so to have a nice room can be important; the room at Sipadan Inn it's nothing exceptional, but it's clean and big enough to spend one night with ease of mind; a standard double room costed us 125 RM (about 25 euros) including a/c wife and a proper toilet with functioning shower clean towels, soaps etc. these thing should be a given but sometimes they're not... If it's in your budget I would recommend this place, it's close to the jetty and to the restaurant area

Semporna is a town and not a city. Semporna is famous and known in the global tourist map due to the popularity of Sipadan Island for diving which is one if the top 10 diving sites in the world. Tourists coming from overseas have to pass through Semporna Jetty to go to the islands. Finding a good hotel in Semporna is difficult as most hotels are below 3-Star categories but a heaven for back packers and budget travellers. There is no international class hotels of 4&5-Star category. However, there are numerous hotels of other categories and home stays and hotels are nirmally fully booked. Sipadan Inn 2 is one of those new hotels located near the floating restaurant. It is located right in the centre of many restaurants. The room is small about 15 sqm in size, reminds me of hotels in Tokyo and Paris. The room is very compact and difficult to open a large size luggage but everythingekse is quite complete. The view to Semporna City and the floating restaurant is indeed breathtaking with small corridor to view. The hotel does not serve breakfast but has arrangement with a restaurant nearby to serve the guests with pre-selected menus. The room is comfortable, shower & toilet worked well but cannot avoid feeling a bit cramped. There is TV, Air-cond., place to hang your clothes. There is also an elevator. The lobby is small but there are seats and just outside the door there are plenty if seats from cafe operators. Highly recommended for short stay or transit passengers and fir budget travellers it could be a place made from heaven. Hotels are basically cheap in Semporna and if you use USD it is dirt cheap and almost anyone from US could afford to stay in Semporna. As a trend, 80% of the tourists in Semporna are Chinese as there are 80 direct flights from China. As a whole Sipadan Inn 2 is quite a good and comfortable hotel to stay and as a rating I would give 7.5 out of 10 but assessment is a subjective matter. We were given a room and we noticed an unpleasant odor when we walked into the room. We couldn't figure out where the smell came from then we asked to move to another room. The other room did not have that smell but was not pleasant as well. We had to turn on air con to lowest temp to reduce the smell. The room size was rather small, but is okay for 2 ppl with no luggage. The room cleanliness was below average. I noticed the smell came from the rubbish floating on the seawater around Semporna, near the inn there are large bins for locals to dump their rubbish for collection. Passing by Semporna to remote islands is okay but not worth to spend a night for.

The hotel was nice and clean and had a great view. They provided basic amenities. Only drawback was that the wifi was a little weak in the room. There is a stretch of restaurants just below the hotel and live band playing. So you don't have walk too far to grab a bite. The music stops around 2300 hours. So you can also get good nights sleep. :) If I had to return I would definitely stay here.

This accommodation is pretty below average. Rooms are small and has an unpleasant smell from outside. We had to turn on air con to lowest temp to reduce the smell. The room looks clean but the smell made me believe the room is not cleaned enough. After I spent an afternoon outside I noticed the smell came from the rubbish floating on the seawater around Semporna. 100m away from the inn has 4 large bins for locals to dump their rubbish for collection. All in all Semporna is not a nice town to spend a night for. We stayed one night for transit after coming back from kapalai.
