This lodge has beautiful & comfortable cabins with semi private decks and large windows. The gardens are well done and full of life. We found the hosts generous and helpful. The breakfast each morning was great..eggs, toast,juice, coffee and fruit with yogurt. We saw many birds,morphos & fireflies. We could hear the ocean and some howler monkeys.The cicadas were VERY loud! It is a nice 10min walk to the beach where you can walk to the whales tail. Would definitely go back!

We really enjoyed our three nights in this beautifully kept and quiet property. They happily accommodated our every need from an early check in to allowing us to store our recently caught fish in their freezers. One morning we were leaving early for a day at Manuel Antonio, so they prepared a "to go" breakfast for us that was packaged and waiting for us in the fridge. Everyday upon our return, our cabin was fresh and clean. They were always happy to give us advise on the area and answer our questions. They were absolutely wonderful hosts!

We travel as a family (three children) and they kindly accommodated us nicely in a cabin by adding an inflatable mattress. No AC but ceiling fans available in both rooms. Hot water is available. Bathroom is spacious and all is very clean. Excellent to spend some days in a forest environment at a very reasonable price.

We spent two nights at the lodge and enjoyed our stay very much. The cabins are new, spacious and nicely done. Everything is clean and the owners very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a quiet and nature place not too far from the beach this is definitely a good choice.

Our neighbors through out our stay were a family of Howler Monkeys. A beautiful setting above the main road from Uvita. Cabins were cozy and clean. Showers were lacking in supplies and the bedside lighting was too dim to read by. The truck noise from the street could be heard through out the night. However the breakfast and owners were kind and great hosts. .You will need a four wheel drive to get to the lodge.

The cabins are really comfortable, well built, spacious, good beds, great bathrooms (rather seldom in Costa Rica), with their own little terrace including hammocks and individual parking space. The whole area is beautiful and set up with care and attention to detail, from flowers and plants to the little pool and a well equiped community kitchen. The owners are very friendly and know what tourists want, and they also helped us with getting us on a phenomenal whale watching tour. If I ever return to Uvita I know where to stay.

The French owner and his wife operate a freshly constructed small hotels with woody cabins on the hill of Uvita with ocean view. The garden is well designed, simple rooms with details showing a French charm. We arrived in the heavy rain, watching the ocean and listening to the rain on the rooftop keeps the body and soul in calm. The hostess served the breakfast with fresh fruits and yoghurt, while my son enjoyed a dip in the pool. We enjoyed our stay with Marc & his wife, botg very friendly, forthcoming and hardworking.

This was our family's second time staying at forest lodge. Great place to relax and get away from the stress of a busy life. No telephones, no television, only the sounds of nature including many howler monkeys. Ceiling fans provided refreshing cooling at night. Superb breakfast including eggs, fruit and fresh homemade jams. Immaculate swimming pool and cabins. Definitely will be returning here again for our stays in Uvita-excellent hospitality and accommodations.

A small great place! Marc and his wife are very cordial and aware of every little detail you may need on your stay. The place is beautiful, brand new (hopefully it will always stay that way: guests please take care of it!), and with a great swimming pool (for those who need it, picture for your reference). Close to the beach, convenience stores and restaurants. Have fun! ✌🏻
