We were so excited to stay here in Uvita, then, every morning starting at about 5:30 am, construction started. Every morning on our 3 night stay we were woken to cement masons shoveling gravel into a mixer and pouring concrete and talking loudly. We were never told that there would be construction going on for their addition to their property. I get that the workers want to start early due to the weather; however, before 6 am!!! And, this morning, someone decided to renevate, or do some work in the room beside us in (room 12), just before 6am. T When we went to the office and requested to speak to the manager, we were told they weren't in today. We complained about the noise and the woman and young guy looked at us like we were lying. The woman even laughed at us! It was also unfortunate that we had to carry all our luggage up the stairs on our own(we're two elderly ladies), but the following day, a male employee carried a very fit guy's luggage up the stairs. It's such a shame because the hotel has potential, but this construction will be going on for quite some time yet so if you plan in booking here, I recommend asking if the construction is finished. It's also sad that the staff working on February 22, 2023, didn't take our complaint serious and were actually rude. This customer service will hurt their business. The young lady behind the desk was pleasant however.…
You Can do a walk. You Can surf. Nothing more. The days we were here, there where so much noise from morning to evening. Not a chair to sit on - only benches and beds. Not a normal sunbed. I`m not pleased or impressed.
The accommodations are very good, they room has a microwave, fridge and coffee maker, air condition, nice bed. Is easy to get there, and pretty close to the beach, you can walk for about 30 mins top, and you will get there. The town is also very close to the rooms and you can buy stuff there to have in your room. They have a pool, although I didn't use it, but worth mentioning it. Nice space area to park your car.
We stayed there twice within our trip. The price was pretty good for a huge room with a fully equipped kitchen, with fridge, microwave, coffee machine. Wifi worked perfectly and each room has TV with about 100 channels. AC and hot water were also provided which is necessary in that area. There were 2 clean swimming pools, we had so much fun swimming there cause ocean was not so friendly cause of the rain season. Stuff is very friendly. Despite breakfast was not available there, there are tons of good restaurants and supermarket right nearby within walking distance. Very clean cozy place with friendly customer service
Situated about 2 miles from town, a 2000 colones taxi ride from the bus station and a short 700m stroll to the National Park Ballena beach. Very friendly welcome, and shown to our room. Room was functional with two double beds, clean linens, good quality towels, small well stocked kitchenette, microwave and fridge freezer. There was an electric frying pan and pot provided, or you could bbq or use a log burned hob outside. We had a nice outside terrace with table and chairs, where we could eat the meal prepared from ingredients from the great little supermarket just up the Road. The shower was warm and powerful and the aircon was pretty good. WiFi overall was quite good quality. 2 small outdoor pools and outside shower, but no cushions for the rock hard metal sunbeds. We were awoken the second morning at 7am with them trimming the hedge. Overall pretty good, well located for the beach and clean. …
The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from both Uvita and Playa Uvita. It has everything you need. The rooms are clean. I appreciated the English cable channels on tv and it had good wifi. I had a small issue with my room and Managment quickly addressed the issue. The hotel room didn’t have hot water in the shower which isn’t a huge issue.
We spent about a week here, and loved every minute of it. From the moment we arrived, everything was good, and we were treated like valuable guests. The property is beautiful, with large expanses of grass and trees, where you can set up a tent and camp. Or, you could rent a tent on a covered deck if you like, and use the communal outdoor kitchen and bbq. the rooms and camping surrounds the communal area, and the two very nice and clean above ground pools and sun bathing area.Staff were all extremely friendly, and very hard working from dawn oil dusk! There were many families staying when we were there, as kids were out of school, and it was great to watch the kids enjoying the pools. We met some very nice local families! The rooms are clean, and they have a full kitchen, with full size fridges, only thing missing was an oven. Not far away is a convenience store, and a little further, a major grocery store to buy groceries for cooking. A separate bedroom was nice, and it was easy to sleep at night. Drinking water was available at the front desk. Wi-Fi was good! We had a nice little dinette in front of the room to eat, or sit and read or socialize. The property itself is only 300 meters from an entrance to Marina Balena park, which has trails through the jungle off the beautiful beachfront. You can picnic in the park during the day, only downside was you have to pay to enter every day. If you have transportation though, there are plenty of free , beautiful beaches both north and south from Uvita! Most are completely devoid of people! I highly recommend this modest and friendly property.…
We booked two rooms here at the last minute. Our stay was for only one night but we would have loved to stay longer. My husband and I had a Budget standard room but it had good air conditioning, was very quiet, had a pillow top bed and a small kitchenette. Our friends also had a budget standard room and it had all of the above and a balcony overlooking the gardens. Their air did not work so the manager quickly moved them into another room that had a full kitchen and a large sitting area. Both of the pools looked clean and had very easy access. All of the staff were very friendly and on our next trip to the southern part of Costa Rica we will be sure to make this stop for more than one night. We walked down to the National Park about 500 meters from the hotel. On the way we stopped at a delightful open air shop and bought several cloth wraps and a dress. Prices were very reasonable and the owner was very helpful. The National Park is $6.00 a person (or 1000 colonies if you are a resident), The beach is beautiful and there are good showers.…
Wow! We stayed in a cabina with a kitchen and a/c. Units are like new. Pillow top beds! Fully stocked kitchen to prepare meals. Little patio table on our feed by door step abs a great pool with lounge area. The grounds are super maintained and beautiful. Staff extra friendly and helpful. Felt like a family environment. Only minutes walk to the beach and about 6 km walk on the beach to get right to the "Tail". Small Grocery store and restaurants minutes away. We didn't use the Camping facilities however were highly impressed with the two outdoor kitchen areas and the tent area. If you love to camp - this is high end Camping. Highly recommended!!
Very clean and spacious room. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the pool. We saw scarlet macaws in the tree from our balcony! The hotel is close enough to walk to the beach. We stayed two nights here and were very happy with everything. Cute little kitchen with everything you would need. Also, the staff was very nice! No complaints at all.
