The two owners are really pleasant and accommodating. We had to resort to google translate but nevertheless we were able to sort everything. The rooms look like they’ve been refurbished recently and have been finished off to a decent standard with modern bathrooms. The location is great if you don’t want to be in Bordeaux but have easy access and there are a decent number of restaurants within 15mins drive. There is plenty of parking. The owners clearly love what they do and the breakfast is testament to that where they’ve clearly put in a lot of effort to produce a brilliant offering.

This is without doubt the friendliest and most relaxing place we have stayed in a long time, someone commented in a previous review that it was just a place in the middle of a field but that to us is part of the charm this hotel has. On arrival we were greeted by the owner and his lady wife, a superb couple who cannot do enough for you, the rooms are a little odd but clean and functional and also have a lovely walk in shower. The secret of this place though is in the dining / breakfast / bar / relaxing area, sadly my French is extremely limited but for anybody with a smattering of the language this is an excellent place to try it out because everybody it seems wants to talk. There are three or four large tables and each has about eight place settings so you are mixing with everybody and will probably find the owners siting with you, there is endless chatter and then after your excellent freshly cooked meal you can relax on the terrace area with a nice drink and a game of boules if it takes your fancy, but the breakfast is something else, you can cook your own eggs, squeeze your own orange juice and sit chatting over a mixture of fresh fruit. One thing to remember though is that they only have evening meals four nights a week (Mon – Thurs) so you need to make provision for weekends.

The room was large, immaculately clean, ensuite bathroom and all the little touches. Others have pointed out that the decor is outdated, but we found this part of the charm, and it's a lot better than many other French or indeed British, Aussie, Kiwi or Austrian rooms experienced. Honestly, who cares if the bath is brown?
The hosts are simply fantastic, and the food is beautiful. It's home-made, rustic fare, in the best possible sense, and has a real flair to it: gastro-pub chefs would kill to get this effect!
There is also a genuine warmth here that made us instantly book a second night, and definitely many more in the future..... We will return!
As another review said: don't change anything!

Amazing service received by the owners. Booked hotel due to sudden hospitalisation of close family member whilst on holiday. Thrown into an unknown city and difficult circumstances. Owners could not have been more helpful. SPOTLESS bathrooms, great rooms and really lovely food.

We arrived in the evening, the host was very friendly and escorted us to our room. We booked a triple room for us and 3yo son. The room was spacious and clean with an airco even.
The hotel is situated in the middle of farmland, so very quiet. Perfectly situated near Bordeaux but not too close. We were there only for 1 night, we wanted to explore Bordeaux and surroundings.

Warm welcome full of French charm. Rooms excellent with all mod cons. Must recommend the dining experience in the evening. Amazing semi-alfresco experience with a view of a field of beautiful horses.
Couldn't recommend it more

We arrived at this hotel late, tired after a long journey, and had to disturb the owner from his family dinner, but it was one of the best welcomes I have ever experienced in a hotel. The owner provided us with a bottle of wine and some substantial nibbles and left us to enjoy them on the terrace. It just hit the spot! The next day we got back from a wedding very late but the owner keeps the breakfast table open until midday for such guests. The breakfast was excellent, with a very wide choice, and the coffee was superb and plentiful. We were all most pleasantly surprised by the place, having chosen it only because were had a wedding nearby but I would definitely recommend. It is more of a motel style, I think, and the rooms were clean and pleasant but the pleasure that the owner and family clearly take in their job is what makes it so attractive.

Excellent hotel very conveniently located just minutes from the motorway. Very friendly welcome and fantastic breakfast. Rooms very clean and comfortable. I would very happily use this hotel again and would look out for members of the same chain.

close enough to highway to Libourne, but quiet, this hotel has many strong points: a VERY friendly staff - it's run by the owners, a mature couple and their daughter -, rooms have AC, no stairs, very comfy beds, silence, and breakfast is outstanding. Customers during the week seem to be returning ones, sales people and the overall impression is more of friends staying by the couple than purely hotel. Only minor issue we had in room is the wardrobe, too low to accommodate a long garment, like an evening dress.

It's located 25 minutes from Bordeaux out of the mess. The place is family held by very pleasant owners.
The hotel is very clean with its own safe parking.
Breakfast is nice with a big selection of food, you can cook your own eggs thing that my children liked very much.
We also has dinner once: food was home made with products from the private 'farm'
