We stayed in a lovely big room with a beautiful view. Eileen was a great host, she was helpful and friendly. She made us a lovely breakfast before we got back on the road. The surrounding countryside is beautiful too.
This is a wonderful B&B! Eileen is a wonderful host. She greeted us with tea and biscuits. Eileen offered to take us to the Pink a Elephant restaurant which is nearby. She picked us up when we were finished. We had a wonderful Irish Breakfast...More

Eileen, the B&B owner is a great lady. Freshly baked soda bread and scones in the morning and irish breakfast for everyone who wants it. A talk whenever there is time, a very familiar place in the middle of nature. Relax and enjoy
Can't say enough about Eileen and her hospitality! The B&B overlooks a beautiful farm and in the distance the ocean!! She had cows and chickens, and it was PERFECT!! Great homemade breakfast also! We will visit with Eileen again!

I would agree with mtd330, get Eileen to give you advice on what to see/do, we had a stroll around the B&B and then went to a local game of hurling in Kilrittain, Eileen recommended the local pub for dinner and we had a nice meal there before heading to the game. We only stayed 1 night. From there we had a short stop in Clonakilty and sorry that we did not stay overnight as it looked like quite a vibrant town, lots of little restaurants and pubs. We stayed 2 nights in Caherdaniel, this is a great place from which to visit the Skellig islands, we love wildlife and if nature and wildlife interests you I would highly recommend a boat trip to the UNESCO site. You must book in advance, if you want to actually walk on the island, as they are limiting numbers due to preservation issues. Have a great trip, experiencing Ireland is a must .....
