We were welcomed by a very friendly & helpful young girl. As we had to leave very early the next morning so wouldn't be staying for breakfast, she offered to pack us some food as she knew we were walking from England to Rome. This was the first time somebody had offered to do that for us, despite all of...

Stayed one night as emergency after car broke down in Buonconvento. The hotel is well located with short walk to the lovely little bars and restaurants in this beautiful old village. Rooms were spacey and breakfast included in room price of 101 euro. Shower and bathroom and internet was good.

We were pleased to find this hotel as we were cycle-touring and it had started to rain heavily. The receptionist was very helpful and opened up a storage room for our bikes to go in overnight. She omitted to tell us there was a wedding reception on that evening The room was ok but we could hear the wedding disco...

The best thing about this hotel is it's location just at the edge of the old town. The room and bathroom were clean and basic. The breakfast quality was poor. The staff were helpful. This is a good place to stay if you want to explore the town.

The location was unbeatable, the room was very spacious and clean, breakfast was basic but OK but there was one detail: the air conditioning could not be controlled from the room, it was controled from the reception. It turned on all the time and I wanted to switch it off. I discovered that if I set it to 20 degrees...

We stayed here on the first night of a hiking trip in southern Tuscany. While the rooms were OK in terms of being clean and somewhat spacious, the beds were really awful as they sagged and you could literally feel the bed springs popping up through them. This was reported to be the case of all four couples who were...

We stayed for 1 night before we started our walking trip. The staff all were friendly and helpful. The hotel has everything we need for an overnight stay. The room is comfortable and quite spacious. It has a good sized bathroom. The hotel is strategically located in the town centre, within walking distant to the old town centre, restaurants and...

We stayed one night while walking the Via Francigena and Hotel Ghibellino certainly wasn't the best place we have stayed. Very utilitarian, unwelcoming building with its breakfast room in the cellar, which is a very Spartan, cold and unadorned barn-like room. Breakfast was pretty basic, room was ok but not great, with bathroom less than clean. Reception and service was...

This hotel was booked by our walking tour company as part of a week-long package so we didn't have direct visibility to the price. We had asked for two beds (believing we were going to get two twin beds). We got a Queen size bed plus another single bed off on the side so our room was quite spacious. The...

The hotel itself in very out of place in the village. Ugly 80's brick doesn't fit with the historic houses throughout the town. (But neither does the supermarket!!) The room was ok. Relatively clean, and cleaned every day. Bathroom, just like the room, was clean but the whole place was quite dated. The bed was very very firm, so much...
