Detailed Reviews
We stayed in one of the Villas. (006)
Staff were extremely helpful and very pleasant.
The villa has a living area with large tv, dining table and small kitchen with all basic equipment needed (no dishwasher).
Bedroom is a decent size with a super king size bed and it’s own patio doors .
The bathroom is also a very decent size and well equipped but no bath, only a shower.
It was all very clean and daily housekeeping service provided except Thursdays and Sundays.
The private outdoor area to the villa was so lovely. It can be over looked by other guests but only if they stand on the balcony above the villa which people would do take in the stunning views of Amadores beach. Hotel was quiet when we stayed so wasn’t a problem for us. There was a lovely infinity pool as part of our villa which was in our own private garden which was lovely and overlooked Amadores Beach and a dining table and chairs also outside as well as 2 sun loungers, Although heated at times it was cold and we had to ask for temp to be turned up on it.
The interior of the villa although very clean is a little dated and tired but all in great condition.
The only real issue for us was the smell of drains in the bathroom which if the bathroom door wasn’t kept closed you could also smell in the living area / kitchen.
There was no washing machine in the villa but they were available on floor 3 of hotel at an additional cost. Also no iron or ironing board but you can request these from reception. Your also provided with bathroom towels and pool towels.
There is a small but well stocked little shop which has fresh bread available daily but would advise to buy before 10am as it sells out quickly .
A comfortable and relaxing stay.

It is high up and unless you have a car is quite a steep walk up from beach.

An honest review
Looked at the photos of serenity Amadores hotel before booking and it looked ideal. The views, the rooms, the pool all looked fantastic. Seeing them in real life did not disappoint.
We had a standard room 108 and it was fine for us. Fully equipped kitchen, with 3 methods of coffee making (kettle, coffee machine and Nespresso too!) Big fridge freezer, electric cooker and hob.
The cleanliness of the room was outstanding, not a smear or speck of dust anywhere.
The Aircon was only in the main living area so to get cool air to the bedroom you had to keep the door open and both ceiling fans going, but that was ok.
The tele had only BBC world news as I could find that was English, but that was fine as you got WiFi included so we watched our own stuff on the tablet we had taken with us.
Some days the hot water came out slightly brown, but I think that's the an island thing and it didn't bother us too much because we only showered in it.
The huge balcony was furnished with two sun loungers, table, chairs and parasol! The clear and immaculately cleaned glass on the balcony allowed you to see the fantastic view of the garden and Amadores and the sea. That was magical!
The hotel is situated on the left side of the cove if you are facing the island from the sea. For us in October this meant that the sun was there all day! Unlike the hotels on the other side which were in shade until late in the afternoon. The position of it though is right on the top of the hillside, nearly the highest of all. If you don't have a car, you'll be doing some tough walking, like we were. It's about 4500 steps (on Fitbit) to get to the beach and on the way back up, comes in around the equivalent of 50 flights of stairs. This made the beer and wine all the more lovely as we had earned it. Lots of taxis at the beach though if you don't want the exercise!!
There is a little shop in the hotel with the nearest supermarket, the Spar, near the bottom of the hill. However there is enough in Serenity's shop to snack with and what you can't get from the this shop, there's a bigger one at the next hotel down, so not too far if you are carrying everything on foot!!
When we got there, most of the occupants were couples so it was lovely and quiet. There was plenty of space to set up around the pools, which like the rooms were immaculately clean too...
The weather was great which ultimately was the cherry on the cake for what was a fantastic stay at Serenity Amadores....
Would not hesitate to stay again, although I might look at car hire next time!!

Stayed here for 10 days with my sister. The hotel is in a beautiful location although if your walking it's a struggle in the heat to get back up the hill, taxis are cheap and highly recommended to get back after a lovely stroll down to the beach. The pool area is lovely and wasn't overly busy throughout our stay. The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. The rooms are lovely and spacious with massive balconies but the only aircon is in the lounge and didn't seem to be that great. The cooking facilities are sparce only a hob and microwave ( needs a cooker ) it does have a massive fridge freezer though. The hot water unfortunately throughout our stay was dirty and rather off-putting. We had an amazing week here but wouldn't return as we like to relax and cook in and eat on the balcony.

Wonderful weeks stay here in June. After reading the reviews we decided on the Top Floor Premium apartment and we were not disappointed. Whilst I imagine they are all well decorated it was the view, privacy and size of the terrace made it worth it, for us.
The apartment complex is very clean, and the pool area very relaxed. As we left, the hotel became full and the pool bar had just opened so sun loungers were harder to come by but I imagine this fluctuates as people are likely to go off for day trips. The on-site shop was very useful, selling a host of goods (we tended to use it for quick bits but went to the Hyper Dino in Puerto Rico Mall for our ‘main’ shop) and the early morning croissants were delicious!
The location is at the top of the a steep hill (several of Gran Canaria’s reports are perched in and around steep valleys) so not hugely walkable in the searing heat. Taxis however can be ordered at reception, arrive in minutes and single trips cost approx €4 to the beach, €10 to Puerto Rico and €20 to Mogan (very cute with some lovely restaurants; worth the trip).
What makes these apartments stand out however is the customer service. Everyone was so incredibly friendly and always happy to help. On day 5 we found that our hire car had a flat battery and Anastasia was so great at helping us out; I honestly don’t know what we would have done without her. There was a lot of back and forth with the local hire site and the breakdown service and she was happy to handle all the calls which was so helpful as neither of us spoke Spanish.
Thank you Serenity for a wonderful stay!

Stayed in room (004) with private pool. I would prefer more european colors of bed and walls but it felt kind of more authentic and we didn’t have things that we really didn’t like. Pool could be more deep but it was wider than we expected so we enjoyed cause it was also very beautiful and had nice lights that you see at night making pool shining. Big shower, big bathroom , very comfortable bed and top condition of kitchen tools. Receptionists are friendly and always ready to help. I suggest to ask for fresh bread delivery every morning which is really nice and cheap. To go eat (or just to the sea) to PLAYA AMADORES is not far away but if you not in mood to walk - taxi’s are cheap. Rooms been cleaned 5/7 days in very good quality. We would like to come back one day.

We had a pleasant 3 night stay here. We picked a Premium top floor apartment & can't really fault it overall. The room was extremely clean, spacious & full of the amenities you'd want. I also liked how there was extra towels, robes & a large water bottle in the fridge for day 1. The bed was massive & very comfy. Maid service daily & toiletries topped up. Ben at reception was very helpful, as was the lady we spoke to in the Mini Market too. Views are lovely from here. My only gripe was the main patio door didn't lock with the handle but there was another lock near the floor that secured the door fine. Pool area looked nice although we didn't have a chance to use it. Not sure if the pool bar was open. Overall I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax at their apartment - it was very quiet & calm. Great location for that plus if you do want to venture out to the bars, restaurants & beaches then the taxis are cheap & reception are happy to order them for you.

Beautiful apartments with the most helpful staff. Shout out to Anastasia who made sure we had the best time. The apartments are perfect, modern and spotlessly clean with everything you could need. So much attention to detail has been paid. We booked a top floor room with a huge terrace furnished with table and chairs as well as cushioned sun loungers and parasol. The on site shop is well stocked and not over priced and fresh (still warm if you got the timing right) croissants available every morning. Lovely pool area which was never too busy and a pool bar for those afternoon cocktails and a small bar menu too. Cannot find fault with anything. We will definitely be back 🧡

Have been here several times and there is not much difference between 5 and 4 stars. Everything works as it should. It is clean and fresh. If I am to be picky, and compare to other hotels in Europe, what bothers me the most is that the beds are rock hard. Some people prefer it, but with hard sunbeds etc I still get very stiff. If I could wish for anything more, it would be a shuttle bus to the beach. Usually go down and take a taxi up. But think of older people who also benefited from it.
So - large and fresh apartments, fully equipped kitchen, flat screen TV with Netflix but cannot stream your own. Then an hdmi-mobile cable is required. Good with small mini shop. Two sunbeds and a dining area on the balcony/terrace.

Here for 1 week in a Coral Blue villa, lovely and peaceful with amazing views. Know the island well so get a taxi in the evening to eat out but walk down to Amadores early morning. Room has everything you need and more; cleaned daily. Would definitely return.

This time we booked Villa Roca again and we were not disappointed this time either, quite the opposite. Newly installed electric awnings and fångans ny ac in the bedroom, so now there are 2 in the apartment. We love this hotel and staff, sure it is a bit up but you get to move a bit even on holiday. A little sad though that it takes so long before they find out if they can fill the pools, it is not quick in Spain. But the jacuzzi is nice it too plus the pool is not far away. The apartment has everything you could want and then some. See you soon Benjamin, Ana and co!
