Booked a fully furnished apartment via Orbitz. What a great place to stay if you like privacy. One bedroom apartment had everything for a comfortable vacation: kitchen, microwave, laundry machine, pool, beautiful view and many other amenities. You will have to bring toiletries or buy it at a shopping center Europa, a 10 min walk. HipoDino Express supermarket had better prices than Spar, so shop there. Be prepare to hike to the beach and back every day, about 20 min, but if you're not in shape, rent a car, there is a parking space. Overall, highly recommend this place if you like privacy and to cook and save some money.

The apartment was fine but we were late due to flight delay and they still not ready for us which was a little disappointing. There is a pool but this was unheated and the sun beds were tied up and not useable also the pool toilets were blocked off, not sure if this was because it was out of season but not ideal - lots of people in the pool next door so I presume that one was heated. To get there we got the 91 bus from the airport - just under €6 per person then a €2.5 taxi - don’t get off at the Gloria bus stop which is the closest stop as it is hard to get a taxi from there!

We stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks. The swimming pool was under renovation, the equipment and facilities could be slightly updated, but the location of the hotel and the kind, polite, attentive attitude of the staff compensated for everything. There is a great deal of cleanliness throughout the resort and in the rooms. The apartments are spacious, comfortable with huge terraces overlooking the ocean, the beautiful bay of Amadores.

This complex is now Residential with no facilities for Holidaymakers not suitable for holidays
as there are no staff available no reception no pool attendant no shop no bar ,you can have no complaints if you book with the owners of individual apartments, be warned.

Balcon De Amadores is a very nice quiet hotel. Rooms are very clean and staff are friendly. One problem though, you are stuck at the very top of the mountain.... Taxi's are always available right outside the hotel, they are really cheap and only take a few minutes to go to the botton of the Mountain (Commercial Centre)
Amadores Beach, is lovely, one of the best beaches ive been too, not too far from Balcom De Amadores Hotel....
The pool area in the hotel where much though, the whole week I was there the bar was'nt open and the hotel shop was always empty..... Not really much stock available!
The view from our balcony was gorgeous, one of the best views I have ever seen...
Amadores Beach, is lovely, one of the best beaches ive been too, not too far from Balcom De Amadores Hotel....

this hotel had excellent views was extremely cheap and if you are looking for some where to sleep shower and dress this is the hotel for you the amenities wer not brilliant but taxis to puerto rico and amadores are cheap approx. 3 euros we spent very little time in the hotel and when we were there we were hammered but it was ideal just to use as a base as you hardly spend any time in your hotel anyway the staff were friendly and helpful we managed to book this privately direct with the hotel the day before we arrived and for 4 days for 2 people it cost 100 euros if you are looking for somewhere clean cheap and comfortable it is ideal although be wary if you book it as a self catering place as it only has a2 ring hob fridge and very few pans and utensils the pool was nice although cold as were all of the other pools at the other hotels where we stayed

The apartments were okay stayed 12 Jan 04 - 19 Jan 04. Clean enough.
About a 20min walk to Amadores Beach which is lovely loads of shops down there. Pool was no good got no sun but maybe just the time of year no sure. I would be carefull I got £500 pounds worth of Jewellery stolen but I am a bit suspicious to how it happened so I would keep valuablesp safe in you case locked so no one can get into them even cleaners etc. Generally okay and friendly apartments

Stayed for 2 weeks at the hotel that I only can recommend for the wiev. First room we got where untidy, dirty water on the floor and a kitchen with no chance to cook. No pots or pans...
Just beside the rock wall made it unpleasant.
Second room we got where situated on the bottom floor just above the pool.
Things seemed OK until we got aware of that the hotel had sold out flats on our floor and the one next to us where a hippie flat with drugproblems.
After 3 night of noise and fights we finaly got the staff to quiet them down. But that had ruined the vacation night sleep. cos every time we heard any noice from them the feeling got unsafe. Even if it never became bad as in the start.
Untidy corridors, no service.
This was not expected.
Think twice before choosing Balcon.
This is always to be seen as the cheapest choice.

This apartment block has been taken over by new management in May 2007, and the improvements made have been fantastic. The view is second to none, and we found the people to be very friendly and helpful.
Quite a few of the apartments are owned privately and have been refurbished to a high standard.
The beach at Amadores is beautiful, with some lovely resteraunts and a newly opened beach house where you can rent double sunloungers with thick mattesses, and have your drinks served to you for just 17 euros a day.
I would thoroughly recommend this apartment block to anyone, the apartment we rented was basic, but clean and comfortable.

My wife and I stayed here in late November 2006.
Initially my wife wasn't too keen. As the one bedroom apartment we were allocated was pretty small, with a basic kitchen, which consisted of 2 electric rings. Having said that though, the apartment was clean and safe from what I saw.
We booked this holiday as a "last minute cheapie" - £500 for the both of us. The view from these apartments was worth that alone. It is absolutely stunning, I never tired of looking out over Amadores Bay for the entire week.
However bear in mind you only gain such a magnificent vantage point by being high up!!! Few hotels are higher, but we knew this before we booked, so it was not a shock. We managed to walk down the hill (20mins) and back up (40mins) via the road on a couple of occaisions, however our legs knew about it the next day!!!
There is a Taxi Rank Right outside the hotel and for a couple of Euros you can get down to the Harbour or to Amadores Bay, No Hassle!! This is what we did for the evening.
The Pool Area was in shade for the majority of the morning, however I would expect in summer with the sun being higher in the sky you would get areas of sun.
The staff were friendly enough after a couple days the guy behind reception knew us and always said "Hello" apart from this we didn't have any cause to require their assistance.
All in all - These apartments are quite basic, but as I have said Clean, and after all you do get what you pay for!!
If you go down to Amadores bay - Try "The Duke Of York" for food it is very reasonable and extremely good quality.
Steer Clear of the "Belice" both our meals were Disgraceful its a wonder they didn't kill me serving up tepid seafood!!!
We Booked Via "SUNSET" and this obviously is not a reflection against these apartments. But The Rep service was very poor. We had no rep from the airport and the driver couldn't find the Apts. No welcome meeting, no visits to the Apts and No times Displayed for "Pick Up"
