2nd time visiting this hotel. Staff were great. Lovely maid Rosa. All inclusive we booked but wouldn't do it again as dorsn't suit us. Prefetred to eat out most times for better food. Stayed on bottom of S side. Lift is an absolute nightmare! Temperature was approx 30degs, an elderly couple stuck in broken lift for 30mins with not a...

The Altamar WAS a fantastic hotel.Location-wise its perfect, being perched on a hillside with fabulous views over Puerto Rico and the open sea. Its beautiful, breathtaking even, and that's the reason probably that my wife and I have returned time and again over the past four or five years. We loved it. We're both in our 50's,and it suited us perfectly. The first...

So we have been here since the 13th March and it's been ok... It started off when we checked in all happy and honky dory! In order to get to our room you have to go up and down a few steps which we didn't mind as we were more bothered about getting in the sun! The room we were...

We have stayed at the Altamar previously and we really enjoyed the stay but we was right at the bottom and the lift was out of action a couple of days and this was horrible especially for me I have really bad knees it took me forever to climb the stairs and resulted in even more pain killers. I have...

We loved the Altamar 👍🏼However we arrived for a 2 week stay Nov 2016 and were tucked in an apartment on the 2cnd floor facing a wall with a view of the road and the gloria hotel..😰 we were upset as we had written to the hotel directly asking for an apartment with a sea view (as if to spite...

We stayed here in September 2016 for 7 nights all inclusive and loved it. The rooms are kept very clean and the staff are really good and friendly. Balconies have sunbeds and a table and chairs. We had a leaking shower and notified the reception and within 10 minutes the maintenance guy was there to fix it. The food is...

We had a bad start but after arriving I could see why this hotel has a very good review. Before going there I emailed to reserve a room. Alberto Ravelo exchanged a few emails with me. emails were very dismissive and I felt he was reluctant in helping me and finally did not reply to my last request to have...

“Ask for a room on the upper floors near reception as it can take an age to find your apartment lower down in the complex and there are only two cable car lifts , one for each side of the complex. The sofa beds, although newly replaced are somewhat "hard" and a 3rd/ 4th Adult may not find them very comfy to sleep on for more than a few nights.”
